We stayed 3 nights with our 2 young kids (age 2 & 6). Our king suite (room 115) was in the old building and very small, the front room was totally filled with the bed, as was the back room. No ante-room, no couch, no patio etc. It was right next to the housekeeping room that was open all day... more

Very nice staff, grounds, and location, but request one of the new wings. We recently (Aug. 07) stayed on the bottom floor of the original wing attached to the reception office and found it uncomfortable, noisy, and the neon red glow from the soda machine couldn't be subdued. The Bard's Inn has one of the best locations in Ashland for theaters, shopping, etc. It has immaculate landscaping. Rooms are adequate, a bit small. Continental breakfast is average--there are steps and hills to negotiate to get to the separate bldg. Owners might consider rerouting access to the bldg as there are many srs who stop at this inn.
