December is off-season in Ashland since the Shakespeare theaters are closed and rooms are priced accordingly. The Bard is at N end of downtown and is a great location for walking to the many restaurants, a movie, Standing Stone brewpub, coffee. Many stores are decorated with outside holiday lights and there are lots of cute stores for shopping. The hot... More

We were driving up from Sacramento, on our way back home to Portland and decided to break up the trip with a stop over in Ashland. We chose Best Western Bard's Inn due to it being pet friendly. The staff was friendly, the check in process was painless and the rooms were clean. Breakfast has many options and the amenities... More

Bard's Inn is a comfortable, clean motel that is located about two blocks from the Shakespeare theaters. The rooms were nice and the staff was very helpful. The food for the continental breakfast was cooked in small batches so it was still hot and the selections were about average. Highly recommended.

Stayed here two years ago to see a Shakespeare play and loved it. Returned last night during a trip to Portland and found everything just as great as the first time. The setting is beautiful and we even saw a young Buck making his way along the creek behind our room! The Bard's Inn is real winner!

I was pleased with our stay at the Bard's Inn. Our bed was comfortable. Nice shower. Breakfast was amazing. I was pleased that there were sugar free options, lots of choices and all of it was home made!

Exceptional place except heating in room is marginal for really cold snap in winter. All else is terrific. Well situated in the town for easy walking to great restaurants etc. The staff is attentive, the room is superb except for heat. Bfast is just fine. we will return for sure

Not sure why tripadvisor deleted my original review of this place. But here I go again. I'll sum it up: The front desk could not fix the lock on our door so they gave us the master key that opened up every door in the entire hotel. We had this key for three days. I would seriously wonder about a... More

Old atmosphere in a dilapidated building. This hotel is a three property business. The main building is a very old and in need of major renovation... The rooms in the main building are motel six style and cramped... Water pressure is low so don't expect a nice shower in the morning.. The other three properties are across the street from... More

The staff was very welcoming and helpful and the room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The hotel is convenient to the charming downtown eateries and shops as well as the park that follows the Ashland Creek. No driving required Wish we could have stayed longer--we would love the opportunity to enjoy a return visit. I highly recommend this hotel!

We were impressed with the front desk staff on both check in and out. Pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable. The room was in good working order, comfortable, and nicely appointed. The breakfast bar was generous, varied and good coffee. This was a hop away from the main town square, easy to access. Very smooth experience.
