This is a very nicely kept up quaint motel in a great location close to downtown Ashland and the Shakespeare theater (about 5 blocks--you can't trust all the places that say they are within "walking distance"). Rooms are comfortable and grounds include small garden and picnic areas. Nicely equipped kitchenettes. Very quiet at night despite being on main road. I... More

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We paid a little extra to get a room with a small kitchen, which ended up saving us money in the long run. It had a full refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, utensils, plates, pots and pans, so we made one grocery run that sustained us for breakfast every morning and a... More

Great room, everything you need, fabulous garden area to relax, pet friendly, convenient location...it's all here! A throwback to the early 1950's, this is a highly recommended place to stay when in the area. An important piece of history that should remain forever.

I was very disappointed. room was clean but for the price I would not stay again. First when I paid I did not get a receipt. I went to office later. they looked in the wastebasket for my receipt from the debit card. could not find it she then copied the original which I had not even signed. their was... More

I really wanted to like this retro motel, but the experience was not good. The bedroom itself was nice, comfortable and clean, but the 'kitchenette' and bathroom were terrible. I initially thought the floor was just worn, but it was just plain dirty. The bathroom was laughable. When sitting on the toilet, my husband's shoulders touched both sides of the... More

We stayed in the "infamous" room 3. Yes, the bathroom is small! But it has two bedrooms and a full kitchen. The place was clean and quiet and a decent walk to the Shakespeare Festival. When we stayed there it was up for sale and I wish we could have afforded it -- to turn it back into it's heyday... More

We booked this room because the advertised "retro" theme sounded fun. We had already stayed in two wonderful "retro" motels (on the Oregon coast and Northern California) on this road trip. The exterior of the Manor is charming. But the theme of the interior was "broken 1970's thrift shop" with no attempt at theme or cohesion. Access to the closet... More

I stayed in room 9 which was farther from the street. The maid I chatted with was very helpful and nice. Once I was in the room, yes it was small and yeah, that bathroom was tiny. The shower looked like it was an afterthought as it was cut into a wall. It was a standing room for one kind... More

My mom & I enjoyed our stay at this quaint, friendly spot. The rooms are simple but homey, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Other reviews said the beds were hard, but I did not find it problematic. My mom has fibromyalgia, so she brought her own blow up matress, and there was plenty of room for it.... More

Probably not for everyone, but was perfect for us. Concur with previous review by Kit R. Spent 3 nights recently in #11--probably the size of a large double room in a regular hotel, but this had 2 rooms with a bed in each. The 2 teenage sisters accompanying us could have their own room & close the door, which made... More
