Can't say enough about my two nights at the Ashland Hostel last July. I stayed in a semi-private room (shared bath, private bed off the women's dorm). My hosts were wonderful and it was great to have a kitchen to store snacks and have coffee. Everything was super clean, which is always my big concern in a shared space. The... More

My stay at the Ashland hostel was the best! I was lucky to get the almost last bed (girl "dorm" upstairs) and Annie was the most helpful when I arrived in Ashland, after a long drive and not knowing much about what I was gonna do next. The place is oh so charming and you feel at home right away,... More

This is a reasonably-priced option for folks staying in Ashland, but the reasons to stay here go far beyond the price. It is perfectly located near downtown in a lovely old house. The rooms and shared kitchen are clean and comfortable and the hosts are the perfect balance of friendly and not-in-your-face. The house rules are perfectly reasonable and clearly... More

My friend and I met up in Ashland for the shakespeare festival Halloween weekend. This hostel was the perfect place for us to stay. THe reviews were all fantastic. There was a warning that the upstairs rooms facing the street could be noisy. We heard cars and being halloween weekend people, but were not overwhelmed by the noise. I slept... More

This home is very well appointed and comfortable. With sufficient notice, they offer a number of different options ranging from a dorm environment to a private suite to everything in between. They include a lovely, well-kept and ample shared kitchen with two refrigerators and shelves for guests to keep and organize their food. All in all, this is a very... More

I stayed with a friend in a room with two beds in the basement. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The kitchen is great, with lots of food available to share and free coffee. Men stay in the basement, and, with only one bathroom down there, it was sometimes a bit inconvenient. The hostel is within walking distance of... More

We had a meet-up of old friends and Sid and Annie made our stay great. Really wished we had more "down time" to enjoy some porch sitting and relaxing. But it still made a great base of operations. We shared one of the bunk rooms. And we really didn't have any trouble with bathroom/shower traffic, everyone was very respectful. It... More

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at the Hostel in May. It was such a nice experience that I decided to stay there again in June with my sister, niece and daughters. The rooms are very clean and have the most comfortable beds and linens. Seriously the bedrooms are set up so nicely you would think you... More

Our one night stay at the Ashland Hostel was mostly positive except that I slept horribly. The hostel is very clean, it is nicely decorated, it has a complete kitchen, it's centrally located to downtown Ashland, it feels safe, the owners were accommodating of our checking in early and the beds are comfy. We were in one of the private... More

I've stayed in this hostel a few times and will stay there again. The accommodations are immaculate & clean, comfortable and quiet, close walking distance to town, and the owner/hosts are helpful, very accommodating, and as nice as it gets. This place feels like home away from home. Highly recommended. I'll stay there again!
