I'm not sure which room the other reviewers stayed but we stayed in room 12 and it was wonderful. Interior was just fine. The layout of the room was very good. There were 2 of us and the 2 beds were separated in 2 rooms with a curtain and very private. If you are traveling with a friend and want... More

While one of the few places actually available by the time we booked, there's a reason . The only socially redeeming value is that it is in Ashland with the magnificent OSF, good dining options, and is walking distance to the Morningglory. Rooms, while not cheap, are cramped and decorated in what looks like bad Salvation Army, but what some... More

A gussied up old motel, but so cute! Many thoughtful touches and attentive staff. My daughter and I stayed in a large room in a house adjacent and everything was very nice. We had a small kitchen. Cabana rental was fun and not too expensive. Nice to relax by the pool before going to plays. Morning Glory restaurant nearby is... More

We love this makeover of an old motel. The gardens, pool and cabanas, water features and other touches create an inviting oasis. We can't wait to relax poolside or in the gardens after a long drive or day at play. It is a short walk to the main parts of downtown. The prices are reasonable as well!

Loved everything about the Palm. The grounds offer several places to sit and read, eat or just relax. Water features abound, and the pool area is the nicest I have seen in Ashland. We go down to Ashland every year for the Shakespeare Festival, and we will definitely be staying at the Palm next year when we go again.

I have had the opportunity to stay at The Palm a couple of times. One time was with a friend. She and I were visiting other friends in Ashland. Another time was with my husband, on our way home from a weekend up north. Both times, we enjoyed the pool area. We walked the grounds and found several places to... More

My friend stays at this motel every year and enjoys it. We went together and split the cost. It is an old motel that has been ----- kind of updated. It is boutique -- some may say but at $ 214 a night I was disappointed. The pool area is great and the grounds are beautiful. It is walkable to... More

Thank you for your review. In response to your concern about the room rate, we would like to add that your room rate was actually $195 per night. As you know, in the Ashland area, a rate under $200 is highly competitive and significantly lower than similarly equipped hotels for the dates of your peak-season stay. We appreciate your business... I had to cancel my reservation one day past their ridiculous 2 week in advance policy. I had not read the reservation carefully and assumed like EVERY hotel that there would be at the most 48 hour notice to cancel. I was shocked to find out it was 2 weeks! My reason for cancellation was that I had just gotten... More

Thank you for sharing your concerns. It is unfortunate that you never stayed with us and therefore never experienced the property or our hospitality. We provide guests with our cancellation policy in full in advance of ever placing their reservations, so it should not be a surprise to you that we expect guests to respect that we are a small... I wouldn't stay anywhere else on my next trip to Ashland. We were celebrating our 48 anniversary the night we stayed here and we were going to go out to a nice place for dinner. However, we were so happy at The Palms, that we decided to get take out food and eat on our private little deck and enjoy... More

I loved my stay at this old fashioned motel, with great upgrades. Enjoyed the nicely remodeled rooms (with A/C, free wi-fi), great beds, cabanas poolside, swimming in the pool at the end of a very hot day, and relaxing outside under the trees in the very lovely old fashioned gardens. Less than a block walk to a very trendy breakfast... More
