The Stratford is a convenient and affordable place to stay in Ashland. It's a totally generic hotel in terms of the rooms, with a cafe that is a plus. Convenient to the Shakespeare Festival and good restaurants. A good buy!

I highly recommend. The location is perfect for attending OSF. The rooms are quiet. The morning comp breakfast is great. The attached coffee house is an added plus. The staff members are all friendly and helpful. And the late-night pool and spa round things off completely. Bravo!

Fully satistied. We would stay there again. I will reach for 200 chaRACTERS. The pool and the hot tub are very nice after a long drive to get there. The breakfast was fine with the sausages and eggs added since last we were there.

It is hard to find a newer hotel in central Ashland. This hotel is old, and the rooms facing the street are noisy. They are also small and dark. Ours was not cleaned well. The breakfast is decent and the staff is helpful. We also were able to use the patio by the pool for group get togethers. The best... More

My room was very clean and attractive. The bathroom was challenging for me as I believe it was designed for a person in a wheelchair. There was no separate bath/shower, just an area on the same level as the floor, so every time I turned the shower on, even with the shower head pointed at the wall, I flooded the... More

Everything was well handled. Expensive, though. I hope the staff is well paid! Very professional people. Very close to the theater and shops. Good weather this time of year. I believe The Inn could be more competitive on price.

We love staying here--great location for walking to the Theaters. Clean quiet rooms, decent breakfast, added benefit of access to a work out facility within a mile, nice people. We come to Ashland every year, and always stay here, for convenience, cleanliness and comfort.

Great trip. Wew had a great time. We met friendly guests at breakfast and were able to discuss the plays we attended. We were able to walk to the theater. We enjoyed swimming in the salt water pool. We were on a busy street but it was fine. The beds were soft but we were able to sleep fine.

Great location, an easy walk to downtown and Shakespearean plays. The hotel itself is tired and worn, and the price paid is worth it for the location if you don't expect much else. The included breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The beds are old and not particularly comfortable. The pillows are foam - we had hoped for down pillows... More

We stayed here last week while participating in the Shakespeare Festival. Older rooms as noted by others but very friendly staff and just the right walking distance to make up for the sitting during the plays. Great big towels. Very Quiet Room - even ours that was facing the road. Good breakfast included with the room. Because the temps were... More
