I loved this hotel on my first visit to Ashland in the '70s, and made a point to stay on my recent trip through town. The major restoration has paid off handsomely. The rooms are charming but benefit from the updating -- particularly the addition of air conditioning! Even so, one has to accept the realities of an historic property... More

A last minute get a way trip. Have never really spent anytime in Ashland, even though I drive by it all the time. The hotel was about the last place that had any rooms available. Very nice old hotel that has gone under an extensive remodel. Ate dinner in the adjoining restaurant, Lark, which was very good. Hotel was a... More

The hotel is close and parking is convenient. You just walk out the back door, across the parking area and you are at the theatres. . We walked everywhere. We ate lunch in the Lark restaurant which is in the hotel and was good. We like the rooms and don't mind the slow elevator-. We have stayed at this hotel... More

We booked just one night at the hotel, which was a very good thing. The room was sooo small. I had read reviews of this being the case but I did not realize just how caustrophobic it would feel. There was a queen bed that had 2 feet of clearance on the three sides. The TV was an older model and... More

Ashland Springs Hotel is one of the nicest hotel experiences I have had! I stayed here after driving for 8 hours and felt very refreshed the minute I stepped into our 7th floor corner room. We came to Ashland because we love the town's atmosphere. We are also a couple that enjoys things with a bit more personality, not into... More

We arrived one hour before our play and really tired. The welcoming front desk staff set the tone for our stay. The lovely room with butter yellow walls and botanic prints and the white tile bathroom made us feel refreshed just being there. We walked out the back door and through the parking lot and we were at the Ashland... More

Loved this hotel. Has lots of history, great location, and they've upgraded nicely. We walked everywhere and slept peacefully...what more do you want? Nice breakfast too. Be sure to eat at Lela's if you can....best meal we had for sure!

As very seasoned travelers who like some historic hotel charm (if it comes with modern convenience!) this one was a winner! We DID have a corner room on the 8th floor - some of the other rooms in the hotel are smaller but that's expected in an older facility -all very quiet though. VERY well restored with beautiful lobby, excellent... More

We have stayed in Asland on several other occaisons and found this hotel to be a charming small european style hotel with nicely decorated rooms and common areas. Parking was convenient. No valets but easy to access. The room was extrememly small but the bed and bedding was very inviting and comfortable. This is a very old hotel so you... More

This is a restored hotel in the heart of Ashland less than two blocks for the Shakespeare Festival's three venues. The ASH is nice, quaint and small. Nice in that it's located close to dining, shopping and the theaters, quaint in that they serve lemonade and trail mix in the lobby from 9 p.m. to midnight and small in that... More
