This is a great hostel. I stayed there on 16 September 2014 (catching up with old reviews now!). Rob is a great host and the vibe is awesome there. He was painting beautiful murals when I arrived there, the people were awesome, it really flowed with the guests there and felt very special. All the facilities were fine and taken... More

This hostel has clean rooms, lots of space, secure and safe, and amazingly inexpensive. You can walk to the Shakespeare festival, the downtown plaza, restaurants, Lithia Park and walking trails. The owners are accommodating and unobtrusive.

Ashland has a really fun downtown for a city of its size and the Ashland Commons is a stone's throw away. Unfortunately, there is an industrial area in between. It's a long walk down back streets to make it on foot, so I find the location to be pretty inconvienient. As for the facilities, the kitchens are really nice, but... More

We have been bringing large groups of high school students (30+) here for the past 5 years. Rob and Linda are perfect hosts, and the Commons are like a home away from home for us. Clean, comfy, and a short walk to the theatre and shopping. Love this place!!

Very clean, comfortable and cozy. Rob and Linda were very kind and helpful! This is probably the best deal on accommodation in Ashland. About a 15 minute walk from the downtown, theaters and some great restaurants.

Rob and Linda were super helpful to me during my stay. They got me information on rides from the Medford airport with prices and who could transport my bike and who couldn't. They were waiting for me at the hostel with keys, and a map with everything I needed to know marked from bike shops, to the food co-op. There... More

For inexpensive accommodations in Ashland, Ashland Commons can't be beat. The rooms and beds are comparable to other hostels, although the layout of the first floor is somewhat small and it is unusual to have beds in a common area. For groups that wouldn't matter. The kitchen area was quite clean and neat. The Commons is not a place where... More
