Unfortunately, the lodge is just extremely unclean. The sheets were clearly not washed, and I ended up with a skin condition after the trip. I don't believe anyone would be willing to end up with a skin disease for staying in a place where people don't bother to clean the sheets. The price for the stay is largely raised by... More

So much craftmenship and love in this lodge. Really very stunning... The high ceilings reach to meet the tall beautiful trees that line the Applegate river. Just up the river is the last remaining bridge of its type in the area which the owners friends and family raised funds so that the bridge could be inducted in to the county's... More

What can I say? Friends who live in Applegate area took us there for dinner. It was a cool fall evening & dining room was very cold. Server wasn't very skilled - but friendly. Prices way to high for the quality of food & service. Couldn't recommend it.

We stopped by this wonderful, rustic picturesque river lodge and although they were not open for lunch the staff there were super and showed us around and told us stories of the lodge. We so enjoyed our too short visit. Next time we were stay over. We would like to especially thank, Tina, who was very sweet and friendly. What... More

We had our daughters wedding 26th of July this at Applegate. The place was great Joanne and Toni were super and the best food I have ever had at a wedding. All the quest raved about the wedding and venue. It didn't help that the couple are wonderful and the bride was gorgeous. The staff was accommodating when it came... More

The Applegate Lodge is right on the Applegate River in an area that used to be all cattle ranches I believe, but is turning into a major wine producing area. The lodge itself is quite picturesque and woodsy. The staff is extremely friendly and casual. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but had a few drinks in the bar -... More

If you're looking for a destination venue or a weekend getaway, the rustic Applegate River Lodge is an excellent choice. Remote and beautiful, with 7 spacious and uniquely decorated rooms, the courteous and hard working staff will graciously accommodate your needs. They set up a lovely chapel on the lawn and after my son and daughter in law's wedding ceremony,... More

The restaurant needs a good cleaning. $21 for THREE small scallops! - it was an appetizer served as a dinner. This establishment is has lots of potential that is not being used. Such a sad and disappointing evening.

Rooms were not clean, sheets looked questionable. I like rustic but this is just worn out. No windows to open, bathrooms on bottom floor. Restaurant is separate business but I believe it's from same family. Service there ok but they were out of everything! I can't say it enough...we will never ever ever be back!

We stayed in a room referred to as the "Honeymoon Suite." It is common for one to hear footsteps when people are above you, but in this case each step was greatly amplified by the creaking boards in the ceiling/floor between the two floors. There was so much of that creaking, both late at night and early in the morning,... More
