My husband and I spent the weekend in cabin 201. The cabin seems to have been recently remodeled, and it was truly adorable. All of the cabinetry and appliances were new, and the floor was tiled with lovely wood plank looking tiles. The breakfast nook was cozy with windows on two sides so that we could look out over the... The staff was extremely friendly! We stayed in a one bdrm cabin on the weekend. It is just the right size for 2 people. Quaint, Clean, nicely decorated, with a kitchen (need to bring your own dishes etc), dining area in the kitchen. Bathroom has no tub but nice shower. Large TV on the wall with cable. The cabins are... More

Booked two nights at the lodge to be near Ardmore, OK for a concert at Heritage Hall and do some kayaking. My husband and I thought the cabin was great, kind of "fancy" camping as you have a bed, full kitchen, bathroom, etc. We took our own food provisions including dishes, cups and silverware, but the lodge provided linens, bath... Just got home from a great little getaway. A Groupon came to me a couple of months ago, and since Lake Murray was only 2 hours away, I bought it, not knowing what to expect. It was for a 1 bedroom cabin, and we were thrilled with it. Pet friendly, because our pug never gets left behind. Had a queen... More

Husband and I spent one night in a cabin with our two young sons (3 yrs and 9 mo). We had a great time exploring the gorgeous nature center at Tucker Tower - the park ranger working there was super nice and attentive to our toddler. Go to the marina shop at the lake and buy a couple of bags... More

The cabins are dumps, the staff will screw up your reservations, and you will not get any refund. 50 degrees in our cabin, because of broken heater, unmade beds when we got there. 2yr old grand baby had to sleep between us to keep from freezing! If you want fun, go somewhere else!

We stayed in cabin that sleeps 6. We could only stay one night because the cabin smelled so bad. It looked and smelled like the carpet has not been changed in 30 years. It's not good to spend $160.00 a night for a cabin and the smell is so bad you can't stay there..some smaller cabins have been renovated but... More

Because of work schedules, we only had one night for our spring break. Decided on Lake Murray after a friend's recommendation and also its close proximity. We reserved one of the "Small Villa" cabins (#248): sleeps 4 with two twin beds in the bedroom and a pull-out queen sleeper in living room, screened porch, refrigerator and microwave, coffee maker and... Lake Murray staff and customer service are five-star. We visit Lake Murray State Park often. We have stayed at one of the trailer parks and in the cabins. The park is beautiful, clean, comfortable, safe, and a good value. Mostly, we really love staying here because the staff is fantastic. Everyone is professional, helpful, and very kind. I would recommend... More
