LOCATION: This hotel is located on Richland Avenue, adjacent to Ohio University and about a 10-minute walk from downtown Athens. GETTING THERE: The nearest airports to Athens are Columbus, Ohio (about 1.5 hours) and Parkersburg, West Virginia (about 45 minutes). Far more airlines fly to Port Columbus Airport than Parkersburg, so the fares to Columbus are certainly cheaper. Ohio University... More

As I had business at Ohio University, stayed at the just off-campus Inn. Very comfortable and genuinely warm staff greeting me on a very cold day. Room was warm and adequate, though it could use some updating (I understand that the Inn is in the process of doing just that). I was very impressed with the facilities and the remarkable... More

I had a meeting at the University. The staff was really nice to me. I needed a late arrival and late check out. The staff accommodated me without any issues. There is a Starbucks in the lobby area but everything closes at night. It also has a pretty garden area which may be nice if the weather is warm. I... More

As alumni we always chose to stay here as it is the only hotel in walking distance of Uptown. It books quickly during mom/dad weekend, homecoming, graduation, etc. we usually try to go to Athens to visit our alma mater during off times when the students aren't there. We get a large group of us to go together and can... More

I stayed here with a large group spread over many rooms. Every room was nice but could have used some sprucing up. The hotel has a great reputation and is nice because it's accessible to Athens without being too much in the middle of everything.

Pros: my woman was getting her education and was forced to leave town to meet some classmates from her online studies. I attended too, as to oversee her flirting with other, less attractive men. Overall the hotel was nice. Cons: nothing. I oversaw and completed the mission.

I stayed recently and the room was not as clean as my previous visit. Room service was not as good as well. They sent up a dirty napkin with my food. Food was not very hot or well seasoned. The glass was not covered with plastic as it had been on previous visit --meaning anything could fall into glass. It... More

I recently organized a reunion for some of my Ohio University fraternity brothers and we chose the Ohio University Inn for our base hotel, rooms and reception. I could not be happier. I am not a professional meeting planner (and actually dislike the process) but the sales and catering staff made my job easy. They know what they are doing... More

Overall visit was great! The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming & quick to get me on my way. Support staff helped bring my bags to the room. Room was very big; seperate spaces for bed & living room. Also included nice patio rooms overlooking a beautiful courtyard. Awesome steaks and seafood at Cutler's, the hotel's onsite restaurant. Extremely pleased... More

I wasn't sure what to expect here. There aren't a lot of hotels around OU. however, I've always been pleased with any University-sponsored hotel that I've stayed at. We were here for parents weekend, lucky winners of the lottery. The location was ideal - we felt very safe walking to and from campus, even late at night. There's a tunnel... More
