The room was very spacious and looked out at the pool where we enjoyed a late afternoon swim. What stood out was the friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff. I agree that the construction made driving difficult, but the hotel was located so close to the canal at OU that I could have a invigorating walk/jog early in... More

The newly renovated rooms are so nice. Well complemented by the room patios and outdoor seating by the firepit. We enjoyed relaxing by the large pool. We love that we can walk from the Inn to the walking trail along the waterway next to Ohio University. Staying here is a must when visiting Athens!

Nice stay... nice hotel... wonderful customer service! BUT!!! They asked us to quit partying on the patio at 1 AM!!! Apparently someone wanted to sleep! ;-) When in again Athens, this will be our desired residence.

The hotel is very nice but the construction going on makes it very inconvenient and noisy. Some rooms on the second floor have stairs you must take and no access with the hotel cart. So we loaded all our stuff on the cart only to find out we had to either lift the cart down the stairs or carry the... More

Stayed overnight July 2015 for wedding. Very pleased. We were in 'C' building, newly renovated. Clean room, beds comfortable, easy access (barring near-by street construction), and very friendly-attentive staff. Restaurant food a little over priced but good. Definitely would stay again and refer others!

Everything is “Throwback Awesome” from the remarkably kind and attentive staff, to the picturesque postmodern era pool setting. Love the remodeled rooms, Starbucks quality coffee option, and super nice showers.

Touted by the very nice and helpful staff as the "only full service hotel in southeast Ohio," I guess this means it has a restaurant and bar. The property is a bit rundown, and undergoing renovations, which make several of the rooms extremely inconvenient to access. The parking lot is torn up pretty badly, too. During a sudden downpour, sewage... More

I grew up in southwestern Ohio, but had never been to the southeastern part of the State. Over this past 4th of July weekend, we traveled from Columbus; first, to the Dawes Arboretum at Newark, then the Sheridan monument at Somerset, the Sherman House at Lancaster, Old Man's Cave in the Hocking Hills, and finally settled for the evening at... My wife and I spent four nights at the Ohio University Inn. We had a large room with a balcony that overlooked the courtyard. The Inn was refurbished recently and the room was spacious and nicely furnished with a comfortable king sized bed, couch, desk, television, refrigerator, desk, etc. We had plenty of room. We dined at the Inn for... More

We stayed there one night with plans to hit the town for 4th of July. The newly remodeled room was attractive, comfortable and welcoming. Our balcony overlooked the patio and pool area. Lots of nice landscaping and a beautiful view of tall trees, you feel like you're in the forest. We enjoyed our walk to the bar/restaurant district, and after... More
