The hotel offers overnight truck parking, which makes sense for them given how few guest cars there are in the vast parking lot. Which means that there's a decent chance that guests will be treated to an all night symphony of idling diesel engines just outside their window. Other problems are minor on their own, but there are so many.... More

The hallways are dim and very cold. You get to the room and the heaters are off so the rooms are usually ice cold. The bedding is old and not cleaned well. I found hairs of differing lenths and styles in my "clean" bed. The towels are worn out, coming unsewn, and brownish-yellow in color. The bathroom was poorly cleaned... More

Stayed here one night on business. My initial impression was the lobby was pretty nice and looked like it had been recently remodeled. Walking to my room, what struck me was how brown everything looked--carpet, walls, etc. And the smell...a faint sulphur odor. I got to my room, and it seemed recently remodeled and reasonably clean, which was good. The... More

We were there for 3 nights. It was OK. Good location. Very nice breakfast. Good price. No major complaints. Special feature: adjoining rooms. We were two families and we had our own rooms but with open doors (there are two doors actually between the rooms) we could be together without exiting through the main door. Very convenient.

I needed a place to stay for a night with my son for his campus tour of the University of Akron. The staff was exceptional- the breakfast was incredible! We will stay here again! Our door was exceptionally loud and squeaky when you opened or closed it- WHICH I LOVED- so no one was getting in or out unheard! For... More

Very nice hotel at a great price. Forgot to ask when booking for a first floor room, but the woman at the check-in counter was happy to change my reservation. Room was spacious and clean. Free hot breakfast with a lot to choose from. Will definitely stay here again.

We needed a place to stay just overnight and close to the Akron/Canton Airport. This fit the bill and it was very reasonable. As other reviewers have stated, it is a little shabby and definitely needs updating. That said, it was quiet, the room was clean, the staff very friendly and breakfast was fairly good. There were the usual breakfast... More

Hotel wasn't to bad. Staff was helpful and friendly. I had stayed in this location for roughly a week and was comfortable. The hotel is big and spread out but walls are thin. We could hear the neighbors yelling and fighting nearly every nite all nite. I would recommend this hotel, as well as you don't mind listening to your... More

This is an older, former holiday inn or sheraton that has been well-maintained. Large rooms (no fan in bath, but not small). Housekeeping was excellent. Friendly staff (I noticed the check-ins and housekeeping staff always recognized customers). Hallways were wide, but ceilings are intermittedly low (like a cruise ship), sign of an older early 70's property. Location is a slight... More

We wanted to break up a long drive from Detroit to Philadelphia. I found this hotel in Akron so we could see the MAPS airplane museum. The hotel is two stories, and does not have an elevator. We had rooms on the 2nd floor and didn't mind carrying the bags up but another traveller who checked in when we did... More
