My husband and I stayed at this hotel during a bicycle trip from Cleveland to Akron on the Ohio & Erie Towpath. We loved the building which is worth a trip in itself, along with the wonderful murals and sculptures throughout. Our room, in a former oat silo, was round and perfectly clean and comfortable with all the amenities you... more

I spent the night here for a seminar I was attending. It was fascinating! Staying in a grain silo (yes the room had a curved wall) was very ineresting. It used to be the home of Quaker Oats and held 1.5 bushels of oats. How neat. The staff were friendly and helpful. The general store, restaurant on a train car... more

The rooms and overall hotels are needing an update. We got there and had to park a mile away because the parking lot was full from some event. Our rooms carpet was filthy. They were housing college students or something in the upper floors. I couldnt get the high speed wireless to work right and I had to call down... more

We had a new years ever party at the hotel on December 31st, 2008. Its the second year in a row we have done this and it went wonderfully! We also got to stay in the rooms, which were very comfortable and good sized! If you dont know the history of the hotel before you come here, it might not... more

The hotel is dingy, customer service is awful and 50% of the rooms have been converted over to university dorm rooms. Students roaming the lobby all the time and there was occasional loud music. Yes, the silos are neat but they're not worth putting up with lousy customer service. They have a beautiful restaurant but it's only open for breakfast... more

I was planning on staying here, but my plans changed. I canceled my reservation more than a week before, but they didn't process it for some reason. The Inn charged my card anyway and then would not reverse the charge after I called to discuss it with the manager. This is not a reputable business. more

I had stayed at this hotel in 2007 when it was a Crowne Plaza. It was okay. I booked it again because it was within walking distance of where I was working for the week. WHAT A MISTAKE! This very unique building is worth a walk through but DON'T STOP! It has been purchased by the University of Akron and... more

This was our third stay at the Quaker hotel in one years time and each time it gets worse. We stay there because their rates are always the least expensive. Now we know why. This time it was noisy, dirty, and the pool was freezing. We found out during our stay that half of the rooms are dorm rooms for... more
