We enjoyed a quick stay at the O'Neil House in. Like others have mentioned the property does not have a sign and the welcome was a bit awkward, but Gayle was very accommodating and even brushed the snow off our car in the morning. The home itself is magnificent, we stayed in the sleigh room and the accompanying sitting room... More

My girlfriend and I randomly picked Akron for a getaway by googling what was in between Pa and Chicago. The spa we were going to recommended the O'Neil house. Even though it was the week after New Year's, Gail still had it decorated for Christmas. We had our own "suite" and felt so enriched by this beautiful house and hospitable... More

My husband spent last weekend at the O'Neill house. We were made to feel like family by the owner and all the staff. The house is so beautifully restored and maintained. We will definitely stay there again when we are in the area, as we have family near. If you want a beautiful, relaxing and just the most wonderful place... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights recently at this beautifully maintained mansion. The service was suburb and we felt like part of the family. Excellent breakfasts each day. We had 4 of our local relatives join us for breakfast and they were equally impressed. We highly recommend this adventure in the past.

My friend and I chose this spot for its location along the Towpath trail; we were biking from Cleveland to Bolivar/Zoar and wanted an easily-accessibly B&B about halfway. The house itself was marvelous! Looks like either the setting for a fairy tale, a horror story (I mean that in the best possible way!), or something in between. Gail, the owner,... More

Chuckling after our stay and now reading past reviews. So too, as others have shared, our arrival was weird - no sign or visible house number. Uncertainty as we rang the unanswered door bell. 'Are we at the wrong place' we wondered, reverting to calling the Inn and upon hearing the inside the manor phone ringing - did we feel... More

Beautiful place. Owner is eccentric but nice and non-invasive. The master suite was enormous with a larger square footage than my apartment! The Art Deco malachite bathroom was so glamorous and lots of fun to get ready in for a night on the town. No fridge for our champagne and cheese however. It was News Years Eve... after all! Breakfast... More

My visit to the ONeil house bed and breakfast was very nice. The waiters and guest showed us around the beautiful gardens and grounds before we had lunch. The food was delicious and the presentation was wonderful. My cousins actually rented the place out also for a bridal shower, and the library and room between library and dining area was... More

I was so excited to visit this venue for our Wedding, which is next March. We met with the owner of the O'Neil House, and fell in love with the place, the history, and the 'feel' of being back in time, which is my base of my Wedding, Vintage. Gayle was so sweet, and game us both options and ideas... More

I chose to stay at the O'Neil Bed & Breakfast because it was close to my customer and the price was lower than the Marriott - and I was intrigued by the history. I had a reservation several weeks in advance and had spoken with Gayle before my arrival. I arrived at 8PM on a Tuesday evening; there wasn’t ANY... More
