We had a wonderful experience this weekend at the Blake House Inn. Leslie, Rebecca and Marie were all incredibly accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and traveling with our small dog has never been easier. She had toys in the room and a park next door. The location is great was only about a $25 Uber ride downtown. I... This was our second stay at this B&B. It does not disappoint. Beautifully decorated with just the right amount quirkiness that makes it totally Asheville. It's also a great place to stay if you like to travel with your dog. (the Inn is very well maintained….there are no animal odors!) The staff is well informed and happy to suggest restaurants... I was disappointed with my stay at this B&B. Initially it made a favorable impression: it is decorated beautifully, particularly in the dining area. The rooms are named after flowers, and some of the décor is exquisite. That said, I was disappointed with the customer service aspect. We arrived late and left early the next day, failing to note that... More

We spent a weekend there and it was a wonderful visit. The house is well-maintained with several rooms of various sizes and descriptions. The main house has 6 or so rooms and there is a separate carriage house with a few more. Coffee, tea and fruit are always available and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff is small... More

We were greeted by Amanda, the manager of the property. She was gracious and very informative about the property. We stayed in the Magnolia Room on the second floor. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the bath had a great shower. The ceiling of the room had gathered fabric that radiated from above the ceiling fan our to... More

Just got back from a long weekend trip to Asheville with my mom and sister. We stayed 3 nights at the Black House in the Lilac Room. It was a fine experience, but would probably try another place on our next trip to Asheville. The pros: The super-friendly staff was probably the best part of our stay. Everyone was so... More

WE stayed in The Magnolia room whi ch I love, The weather was cold and we even got snow so we had wine in our large bedroom with the fire place and snow falling. Perfecy ending to our stay, staff was great and breakfast was great , as well as the peanut butter cookies someone made one afternoon. Loved asheville... More

Husband and I went to this B&B for MLK day weekend. We had only been to Asheville once before and stayed somewhere else that was "dog friendly" but had a lot of issues after checking out with too much dog hair on the blankets, having to end our vacation by sweeping and vacuuming the room as to not get charged... We visited the Blake House twice in 2013. The first time we used a Groupon and came in May for our anniversary. We had an awesome trip. The room was quite nice, clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts were fantastic and we enjoyed having a table for two that allowed us to dine together while interacting with other guests. We took... More

Experiencing the history of the Blake House was impressive, and we love the charm of a great B&B. We did a late check-in, which means we didn't get the run-down or personalized service. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. We were glad to have a nice place to relax. Early Saturday morning while taking out our dog,... More
