This hotel is small, simple, comfortable, spotlessly clean and above all the owners Faik and Sevilay are above and beyond any hoteliers we have come across. I rate it 5 star and those that like huge places with loads of bars and shows stop reading now! It is a haven that still remains unspoilt, set right on the beach with... More

Just returned from yet another visit to the Tamarisk- nothing really changes there which is lovely. It is still well run by the same family who make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Water sports are well run on the beach and the accommodation is simple but spotlessly clean with the large pool still shining like... More

We (5 adults, 3 children) visited last summer, mid-July, staying in 2 adjacent rooms. Staff: We received an extremely warm welcome and this continued throughout our stay. For me this differentiated the Tamarisk from larger, more impersonal hotels. Room: Spacious, spotless, but yes basic. Don't expect luxury fixtures and fittings. Food: We found the food to be fresh and varied,... More

Unfortunately we did not stay at the hotel so therefore cannot comment on it, but my husband used the sports facilities, namely water skiin as often as possible. If you are a water sports person the Tamarisk Water Sports is the place for you. We thought that this would be exclusively for the hotel but not the case. Sadash was... More

This little hotel, whilst not in the prettiest part of Turkey, has been well designed to feel secluded and like a little haven. The pool is larger than the norm, food is absolutely excellent, service very good and the staff friendly and helpful. There are enough sunbeds for everyone and plenty to do for those who feel the need. Water... More

The Tamarisk feels like the family who run it really love what they do. This comes over with both them and all the staff always offering help with anything to make your stay both enjoyable and relaxing. The hotel is right on the narrow beach with a wide array of watersports and great boat trips right from the beach. The... More

This is such a relaxing place to be. It's a simple, family-run hotel where you're made to feel extremely welcome. The food is very good and the service is excellent. if you do want to venture out, there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The water-sports are very reasonably priced. We all had such a fun time, so will... More

I would like to thank all the team at tamarisk for another exceptional holiday, I fully recommend this hotel it is like going home to a family and friends. The water sports team were fantastic and the teaching of sailing was brilliant. Food was great as always. We were sorry to go home but look forwarded to returning again soon.... More

Just returned from the Tamarisk. An enjoyable holiday in a friendly and very social hotel with helpful and pleasant staff and great water sports. Lots of excursions to enjoy well organised and reasonably priced. Great pool and food although not gourmet is of a reasonable standard. The rooms are on the small side with too much furniture and the bathrooms... More

Researched in depth to find a small privately-run hotel to the west of Bodrum on the beach with lots of watersports, and this was highly recommended via Trip Advisor and The Telegraph. However, rubbish beach packed with deckchairs, and horrendously loud music from other hotels/bars really spoilt our ten days here - the noise from the Mosque is barely audible... More
