However I can say that the hotel was so much better than we had anticipated. The staff were always freindly and helpful, the location was great - close to bars and shops in Gumbet town and also... more

A fantastic entrance area nd that's when it stops. No lifts, just lots of stairs. from our room to reception there was over 100 steps to take. Rooms were shabby with damp ond mould on some of the walls. All inclusive drinks very selective and of poor quality. The food was very poor and usually stone cold! Certainly put me... more

We got booked in immediately (no one else was there), and asked for a drink of a coffee or something as we were very thirsty, the girl on reception said that at this time... more

An impressive facade hides some real issues at the Grand newport. The decor is outstanding and worthy of a 4 star rating, yhe rooms were clean and comfortable although the carpeting was pointless, the bathroom was a good size. The 80 plus steps to the rooms was a killer and took it's toll on some of the elderly guests as... more

Upon my arrival at this hotel, it looked the same as the pictures on the internet. But then they showed us to our room 221, which was 60 steps down. the room it self was ok, could not see any reason why they had carpet. we had no furniture on our balcony. Our sheets and towels where never changed in... more
