Stayed here for 4 nights in June 2014 with my wife and 13-month-old daughter and we had a sensational time. The rooms are luxurious in an understated way that perfectly suited the summer vibe. The layout of the hotel is perfect with all of the rooms and eating areas harmoniously nestled into the hillside. The breakfasts and dinners were absolutely... More

We were recommended this hotel by our Turkish friends who are very well traveled. One of the more expensive hotels i have stayed in (750 euro's for Lower Deck Sea View which was still a long way from the water!) and it was a good experience (i wouldn't say great relative to the price). Beware there is a nightclub on... More

This hotel is a rustic luxury at its best. Highlighted by its common area's and waterfront, I couldn't stop taking pictures. The staff and service were excellent as well. Every night we were treated to an incredible dinner experience. This place has it all going right

During my recent stay with my sister a mere 200 yards from the Macakizi, we dined there one evening. Drinks before dinner at the magnificent outdoor bar by the water's edge...fabulous staff and first class barman (Luca)...9.9/10 for his vodka martini! Dinner in the main restaurant was as brilliant...shared several 'starters' (9.9/10 for the mini-burgers). Once again, brilliant service; lovely... More

This hotel is beautifully designed on a cliffside. It therefore has many stgeps to negotiate whilst going from your room down to the beach club. It's cleverly designed as you pass down via the pool, breakfast area, gym and then on to the dining area which leads to the beach club and bar. This area is a boardwalk which goes... More

My experience at Macakizi was phenomenal on every level. It's more than a hotel, it's an experience that touches all the senses. From the owner, to the servers. Everyone is there to make your stay memorable. I almost hesitated writing this review bc I don't want everyone to know about it. This place has it all: great location in S.... More

I came to Macakizi for a quick break between business trips, after it was pointedly recommended by good friends who travel around Turkey a lot. The hotel and the staff didn't disappoint. From the zen lobby, to my wonderfully private suite and terrace, the beach of course, and the food! I need to mention this is probably one of the... More

There's not much more I can add to the other reviews on the Macakizi... But I will try! My husband and I just had a fantastic 4 day trip here in August 2014. The entire hotel oozes an innate class and elegance without being pretentious. It feels inclusive and also just the right amount of exclusive. A great vacation experience... More

We loved this very quaint family run hotel in Bodrum. The breakfast was excellent as was the lunch and dinner. Authentically Turkish food. The beach is a boardwalk style beach. You can jump into the ocean and enjoy a fantastic swim. The rooms are very clean and contemporary. A very fun vacation spot.
