I came to Macakizi for a quick break between business trips, after it was pointedly recommended by good friends who travel around Turkey a lot. The hotel and the staff didn't disappoint. From the zen lobby, to my wonderfully private suite and terrace, the beach of course, and the food! I need to mention this is probably one of the... More

There's not much more I can add to the other reviews on the Macakizi... But I will try! My husband and I just had a fantastic 4 day trip here in August 2014. The entire hotel oozes an innate class and elegance without being pretentious. It feels inclusive and also just the right amount of exclusive. A great vacation experience... More

We loved this very quaint family run hotel in Bodrum. The breakfast was excellent as was the lunch and dinner. Authentically Turkish food. The beach is a boardwalk style beach. You can jump into the ocean and enjoy a fantastic swim. The rooms are very clean and contemporary. A very fun vacation spot.

When staying at this marvelous hotel the first things that catch your eyes are the lush gardens, many hidden paths through the resors, kittens exploring their surroundings, and friendly staff that always smiles. Price and quality relations are fantastic, although beverages (in particular alcoholic ones) are pretty expensive - however thats to be expected in a 5-star resort. The area... More

Just spent 4 days at the Macakizi Hotel (July 2014). Let's start with the plus of the hotel: - Location: amazing view and beautiful gardens - Food: breakfast, lunch and diner (the 3 meals are delicious) Now the minuses: - There is a nightclub close to the hotel which means that if you happen to have a room exposed to... There could not have been a more perfect spot for some relaxation after a week of touring around Istanbul and Cappadocia! The property is lovely and lush (the waterfront is gorgeous!) and our room was luxuriously simple (and perfectly set up for a family of five which was not always easy to find)! Very helpful staff and in ample numbers... More

The Macackizi is one of those very rare places in the world that gets nearly all the pieces – little and big -- just right. Set into a hillside that runs into the Aegean Sea, the property uses all of its natural beauty to its advantage: terraces for lunch surrounded in lush green, bougainvillea and sun, a wood and glass... Just as special as two years ago. Notably more children and families this time, which is fine by us, and more Americans too - ditto. it is really a slice of paradise and the only quibble we have is that music - which is very popular with Turkish visitors but we fantasised about hijacking the system! Special mention of Luca,... More

An excellent beach getaway, a beautiful location. Amazing staff speaking fluent english.
