Ours was a wonderful stay in this beautiful and charming small hotel. Rooms are large with separate sleeping and sitting areas and each with a balcony looking out over the bay. But even better is what is outside your room: Pool and terrace overlooking the town, a really great breakfast out by the pool, and two fantastic hosts, Gary and... More

My wife and I stayed for four nights in a top floor apartment in May 2012. I fully concur with the comments of others and will not repeat what has been said already. We have been running short-term beach holiday accommodation in Western Australia for 12 years, so feel well-placed to comment on the services provided by others. The Aegean... More

that hasn't been said on here before really. My husband and I wanted somewhere different for his 50th birthday - his choice. We have travelled all over really but never fancied Turkey - either of us. But Mike chose Turkey and I got to choose the hotel - still didn't fancy Turkey but there you go - his choice I... More

My husband and I stayed at the Aegean Gate in July/August 2011. We loved it! Bodrum is a great place for families, as Aya Napa it is NOT, and this hotel really made it special for us, as it ticked every box - small, clean, pretty, quiet, within easy walking distance of the centre and staffed by friendly owners who... This is an excellent small hotel for a visit to Turkey. The stunning views from the balconies and the hotel grounds are wonderful. Gary, Rory and Mahmoud do a great job as hosts and the service is excellent. The rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable. Although ground floor rooms do not have a balcony they open out onto a patio... More

My partner and I picked this hotel as it was No. 1 on TripAdvisor - and even then it exceeded all our expectations! The warm welcome from Gary and Rory makes you immediately feel at home. They provide you with a map of the area and point out places of interest, including recommendations for various restaurants and cafes – these... More

Hello Everyone, We stayed only 3 nights in room 6 with stunning views of the harbor and the hills and we had a hard time leaving our room & terrace...the view, the rooms, the terrace...and of course the people who own and run this place are the key to its success. It takes hands on managers/owners to know the details of what... More

it is difficult to add to the reviews as it has all been said before. Gary, Rory and Mahmoud treat you like family and their tips on great local restaurants and places to visit are spot on. The Aegean is more like a B&B with only 6 rooms and ample opportunity for you to meet and talk with the other... More

Just back from an 8-night stay at the Aegean Gate & although I could write for hours about how much I loved this hotel & its hosts [all nationalities & species], a quick flick through the 160-odd reviews already here shows that I have nothing original to say. So instead I'm going to repeat some of it: "paradise found", "totally... More

This is my second review for the Aegean Gate as I was here in May. Once again a brilliant hotel - as all the other reviews say. Nothing is too much trouble for Gary and Rory who make everyone feel really welcome. The transfer organised by the hotel from the airport was excellent too - and very good value. We... More
