I made a reservation at this hotel on booking.com and I can say that I am very disappointed. Luckily, on arrival we asked to see the rooms before we paid - make sure you do this. We inspected rooms which were on multiple flights of stairs that had broken door handles and doors, we settled for a room that wasn't... More

...and I've only been here for 30 minutes. Here's the story, in short: I'm here with my brother and father. We booked a TRIPLE room about a month in advance. The guy at the reception is nice enough, we go up to our room, and there are TWO very small beds in it. When I say very small I mean... More

This was my first time at Hotel Mavi in Bardakci, Bodrum. It seems like an old hotel that has been well established, entry way looks tired but the room was very comfortable. We were upgraded to a seaview room (312) and the view of the sea and hotel/beach area opposite the Mavi was spectacular. The hotel staff in general were... More

I stayed at hotel Mavi at the beginning of July which was during ramadan so it was a bit quiet which i personally enjoyed with my boyfriend. The hotel has an amazing view, staff were very friendly and nice, breakfast was ok. It would be nice if the hotel had some sort of entertainment. overall it was a great experience,... More

What a hotel, such a great location, getting the water taxi into town was such a thrill on it's own. What amazing views, pool was great, beautiful water out front was great! I had an amazing time here and was treated like royalty. If I was to go back to turkey, I would stay at the Mavi again! Rooms were... More

My friend and I booked here at the last minute after a general overview of what was said on trip advisor. On the whole it was one of the best holidays I've had. I do however get a little fed up with comments of staff could hardly speak English, really? Probably because it's Turkey? We never found any problems with... More

If you want a hotel that is in a beautiful location, value for money, no hassle from staff as barely any english spoken then this is the place for you! Easy access to Bodrum via regular boats around the bay to Bodrum City running from around 9am til Midnight (6TL). Dolmus stop up the hill from hotel for after hours... More

We went at Easter for a week (18-25 April). It was indeed very quiet and they were prepping for start of the season on 5th May! However the staff were very friendly and helpful (particularly waiter Mutlu!). We thought the buffet breakfasts were delicious - typically Turkish with a wide variety of lovely breads, cheeses, hams, tomatoes, olives, jams etc.... More

I've spend a great week at Mavi Kumsal. The staff was extremely friendly, and doing their job with enthusiasm. I had planned a quiet vacation of reading, relaxing and enjoying the sea which I've achieved. I want to thank all the staff, the waiters, housekeeping ladies and especially Hatice from Public Relations for their friendliness and service.

This hotel was recommended by Teletext Holidays and sold as a gorgeous five stars hotel. The pictures online looked really nice, but reality wasn't all that. I requested a bathtub with my reservation, but the room only had a shower and when I asked the reception about it, they said only rooms with sea views had it. The shower was... More
