Our 5th time to this area & the 4th in Patara. The family love the place. Far from the madding crowds and the "sophistication" of more urban areas. The village has developed a little over the years (paved roads for instance) but continues to exercise it's charms. So many visitors have been before and the villagers seem to remember everyone... more

We have just returned from a lengthy stay at the Golden Lighthouse Hotel in Patara. We have travelled extensively round Turkey as a family over the past ten years, but this time we decided to enjoy a protacted stay of four and a half weeks, based in one place - beautiful Patara. We could not have chosen a better place... more

As soon as we arrived at the Golden Lighthouse Hotel we were immediately greeted and made to feel at home by everyone there. We were shown our room, which was clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking both the pool and the gorgeous village. The pool itself was a good size with plenty of sun beds around to relax on... more
