We stayed at "Otel Mithat" in Ankara for three nights during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised that this budget priced hotel was so nice and clean. The breakfast was more than adequate and very filling. I had asked prior to our arrival if they had a hair dryer I could use and they made sure I had that during... More

The hotel is in a central location, but not that close to the places to go see nor the nice places to eat out. In the end it was Ok, but I would rather try something else if I were to go back.

Otel Mithat is a relatively cheap multi-floored hotel (with an old elevator) near the central part of the old city (somewhat difficult to find) and not very far from the Citadel and the Anatolian Museum. The carpeted room was clean with a central light barely adequate for reading, and the Turkish breakfast was fine. The bed was covered with a... More

The hotel has been refurbished, I believe because our room was spotless and everything was in place. Service was very nice. We reached late at night but made the reservation by e-mail earlier. The reception had a nice man and an equally nice man took our luggage to our room after mid night. Next morning at 6:30 AM the same... More

It is a hotel which is a little bit run down. Our room was spartan. The wall missed some parts with paint. But... the shower was great and the bed was fantastic. Breakfast is not interesting but ok. WiFi is for free but the computer in the lobby is not. Ankara is a interesting city to visit for a few... More

Three nights with 4 twin beds for 2 adults and 3 children without air conditioning was fine. The mosque 100 m from bedroom window at 4:16am was a cultural experience. Hotel is close to Genclik Park and citadel, shopping and bus service. Near hospital district so heard many sirens.

We arrived into Ankara late at night without a place to stay (our first mistake) and decided with the help of the Lonely Planet on staying in Ulus, the older part of the city supposedly near more attractions (ie: the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, the one reason I one recommend going to Ankara to anyone). At any rate, after being... More

We stayed at the Otel Mithat ın Ankara for four nights ın order to obtain our visas to Iran. We found the location good - near the old part of Ankara and reasonably close to the new part - Sihhye and Kizilay. On first impression we were a bit concerned wıth the area - ıt was off a street with... More

We stayed here upon the recommendation from friends of friends and were surprised to find when we arrived that there was no AC. This was a big loss for Ankara in August. The accommodations were basic and clean but were not what we were looking for, as we were traveling for a wedding in Ankara.
