I believe it is now named Grand hotel Anadolu of Ankara when I stayed in this hotel on a two week long trek through Turkey with COSMOS Tours. This hotel is very tired at the edges. I can't agree with the reviewer who said only go to this hotel if you are on a tour, don't stay there then either; we were on a tour and it was the worst hotel we stayed in in Western Turkey, yet it had the highest star rating. It had no plusses;... more
If you are in business, never, never, never stay here. It is approximately USD 60 from the city center (one way). No shuttle, no public transportation at all. Absolutely nowhere to go outside the hotel, which is completely (And I mean it, completely) surrounded by wheat and corn fields. The only alternative for dinner is a poor, very poor open... more
Rooms were very small and they would not run the air conditioner, would not stay here again. more
The Buyuk is a mere 10 minutes by taxi (and 15 TL or €9) from the airport, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. First the good points: lots of parking and spacious rooms with small balconies.
