The cold, but attractive lobby was nicely decorated. However, I didn't expect to spend an hour and a half waiting there when I requested to be changed to a room that didn't stink. The staff didn't even offer me a hot cup of tea while I waited, and when my new room was finally ready, they didn't offer to help... more

I travelled to Ankara for what was my first of many business visits. hotel was recommended by one of the local businessman. I found hotel to have only acceptable reception, loby and eating area. The rest of teh hotel was in horrible state. Rooms were "worn and torn" - carpets filthy, swimming pool area was plain scary. When speaking of... more

I'm not hard to please but this place was a disappointment. I would rate this as a three-star rather than the five-star it claims to be. The hotel itself is like a relic from the 1970s which is OK if you like retro chic but I found it to be dated and in need of an upgrade. Also it's worth... more

We had a high level meeting at this hotel recently. I am from Istanbul, although I lived in DC for a long time. We could not find meeting rooms available in any other so we had to go there, and i had my doubts. However, our meeting went wonderful no little thanks to great staff, yummy food, extremely well organized... more

Stayed here one night with my family on a Gate 1 Tour guided bus tour of Turkey. When we arrive there was quite a commotion with our tour guide (who was EXCELLENT!) and the desk staff. They were speaking Turkish, but based on his tone of voice, he was almost yelling, and the fact that desk staff wasn't arguing back,... more

I stayed here as part of a Gate1 tour. The hotel is nice looking on the outside and has some nice features, but the hotel is really nothing special. It is an okay hotel--nothing more and nothing less. The thing I liked most about the hotel was its location. It is across the street from a grocery/ discount store, sort... more

We stayed here as part of a Gate 1 tour. The location is terrific, close to the trolley line. There are some restaurants close by and a food market. The hotel is definitely for business travelers and tour groups. Nothing outstanding ... either good nor bad. more

First appearances was very nice. We were with a group of 45 people and our room was on the 6th floor. Others of the group were on the 5th floor and had no knowledge of the problems. There was a wedding taking place on the 7th floor Ballroom and from 9pm to 12:30 pm we could not sleep due to... more
