This was the 7th & last hotel on our tour of turkey,we stayed 1 night. Our room 403 was compact, but adequate for our needs, with a small balcony overlooking a derelict building. The bathroom was small with bath, clean & tidy. The w/c was attached to the wall at an angle, it did not feel safe when sitting on it.... More

Not a bad hotel at all really. Very average and, if you are in a room near the front, very noisy. The style of the hotel is "ormolu opulent" which is impressive if not practical. Rooms and bathrooms a decent size and clean so couldn't ask for more really. Food average but plentiful. Apparently there is a nightclub of dubious... More

Our last night before returning to the UK was a good one, although I had had some concerns as I knew that the hotel was next to a nightclub and in a busy area. I need not have worried as, although the bedroom looked out onto the side of the club there were no disturbances of any kind, and even the... More

We had an adequate sized room, with a large comfortable Queen sized bed. The furnishings were ok. The flat screen TV had two English language channels. The room and halls smelled of tobacco smoke. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The bathroom had major problems, the shower head fell apart, and the shower door fell off. The shower... More

This was the last night of a 12 night tour and so expectations were low after arriving late in the day and leaving early in the morning for the airport. We were surprised as this hotel is exactly what we would have expected of a Turkish traditional theme - as soon as we walked in we were struck by the... More

It is like a joke to rate the hotel 5 star. In a cold october night the heating was insufficient. On the TV there is only government approved religious channels, you expect international TV channels in a 5 star hotel. The hotel is surrounded by cheap and dangerous night clubs although its location is a plus, not too far from... More

This hotel was a delight. The public areas and rooms were furnished with what appeared to be antique furniture. Like stepping back in time to the Orient Express. Only problem was at breakfast when several tour groups from all over the world descended on the rather small restaurant and small breakfast buffet. Only one coffee dispenser was a real bottleneck.

As you enter through the doors of the hotel, you ll think how on earth could this hotel earn 5 stars?? Breakfast is so disgusting that you can't even look at the bufe. The hotel is located among the poor night clubs. I woke up at 3 am hearing Gunshots!! Not a safe place to stay!!

We really enjoyed this hotel, the rooms were lovely, quite Bohemien in style. There was good quality toiletries and towels provided. The balcony was a bit wobbly,so we didn't use it. As we were there when the riots were on.The dinner was excellant, but the drinks were quite expensive. The breakfast was good too.

We stayed two nights mid-April 16-17. We would not recommend. The staff are unhelphul, the hotel is old and needs a re-make, dinner and breakfast so-so. Beds are hard, pillows uncomfortable. There is much better value to be had. Our experience was very similar to Flo413's review. JnJ
