We stayed two nights mid-April 16-17. We would not recommend. The staff are unhelphul, the hotel is old and needs a re-make, dinner and breakfast so-so. Beds are hard, pillows uncomfortable. There is much better value to be had. Our experience was very similar to Flo413's review. JnJ

It's a little bit bombastic for me, but rooms are large and clean. The location is ok, if you stay just one night - you need to walk for half a hour to find decent café in the pedestrian area of Ankara (a city you can avoid in your tour of Turkey) and around the hotel only night clubs. You'll be impressed by the opulent lobby, but the tiny elevator, the so-so breakfast (not all set out 40 minutes after opening) and the rock hard beds were a bit of a let down. Great location for strolling and window shopping.

not a bad place, conviniently located, very close to kizilay square... probably a bit overpriced.. but the hotel has its own charm.... very old fashioned, lovely architectural design, especiallly the lobby area...
