We stayed here in our RV trailer just one night. Very impressed with well-maintained surroundings. Fresh gravel on the roads & camping spaces. Beautiful restroom facility. More

My wife and I discovered Turkey Creek Campground through the internet. Good straight forward web site and loved the online registration form. We try to camp next to the creek its self every time we go (now 5 years straight). The staff is wonderful to talk with and very helpful. Bath house and showers are 4 stars when it comes... More

I've stayed at Turkey Creek three times since discovering it in 2010 and it's always a great experience. There's plenty of shade; the sites are packed in neatly; most have good tent pads; the bathrooms are awesome and clean; there's ice in the office and coffee & danish if you need that in the morning; all the sites have water... I camped at Turkey Creek Campground for over a month during different weeks over the summer of 2011 during my relocation from Florida to North Carolina. This was by far the nicest campground of my adventure which ranged from Almond to Asheville which included many a campground in my travels in Western North Carolina. There are numerous sites to choose... More

A little less spacious than expected but still ok. Nice shade, big deck to hang out, nice bath house, walk .75 mi to lake. Well located to raft, hike, lake. Nice owners, outdoorsey crowd. More

3 of us camped here for 2 nights while doing some hiking on the AT and mountain biking. We tent-camped and didn't take advantage of anything at the site except the water. There is only one shower/restroom station at this campground but it is large, modern and very clean. It is only a short walk from the farthest-out sites but... More

Hit the road headed for the western north carolina mtns w/husband, dog and mountian bikes in a rented RV. Did some reserach on the state beforehand and selected the area based on mtn biking. Turkey Creek was exactly what I had envisioned a campground to be. Beautiful setting, charming hosts and they even had a friendly camp dog that befriended... More

Beautiful setting, 5-star bathhouse, wonderful owners who keep the noise down in a tactful way, friendly to well-mannered pets, close to lots of things to do. Our group has been there every year for the last few years, and wouldn't stay anywhere else! More

Beautiful location, well maintained, clean facilities, friendly but unobtrusive staff who live onsite. Within 15 minutes of tons of Nantahala Gorge activities. Several types of sites available for campers. Fire pits, trash collection/recycling, picnic tables (2), raised 10x10 - 10x12 tent site, & water at every site with room for a vehicle & plenty of breathing room for tents &... More
