This place is literally horrible. I'm normally not as difficult and harsh in what I write but it's juts terrible. The rooms are just horrible. They are dark and outdated. Nothing worked in ours. The bed is old and blanket smells. The AC is probably from 1970 and only one button works with no indication. All others are rusted and... More

Swagman Manila is close to the U.S. Embassy. For travel within country, you cannot beat their prices. Check it out when visiting. For lodging, it is near some good eateries. As with any travel abroad, learn the area and dress like the locals. After all, dressing too nicely, although it would make one feel really nice, tends to set one... More

I have stayed in the Swagman 3 times now. The first in Jan and Dec 2013, then Jan 2014. I have no complaints whatsoever, as the rooms were adequate, everything worked, and the staff were very friendly, and helpful, as well as respectfully dressed. The food was also good. Other services they provide which i found helpful are money exchange,... More

The rooms are dark dank and deteriorating. When I was there this hotel was full of middle age western men who were there to buy young girls. It is almost exclusively sex tourists here. I could have ignored this but there is no wifi in the rooms. The front desk acted like I was crazy for expecting in room internet.... More

My second time there. Place has deteriorated. The place smells. People smoke everywhere. The hallways smell of stale smoke. The mattresses are old and feels itchy. The bathrooms are dirty. The shower heads are for hobbits. They are short and i hurt my head with it. Not going back ever. But in fairness to the staff, they're all nice.

In the 1990's this hotel was good to stay at, not anymore. My wife stay there a few weeks ago she said she would never stay there again, in the 1990's this hotel was run by Philippine/Australian The Australian side sold out, it is now Philippine/Chinese owned, this hotel has gone down hill, less maintenance. Rust inside the bar fridges,... More

I have stayed here in the past and this time was much improved over previous visits. The Free pickup from the airport is a true advantage when arriving. The personal attention at the airport is really welcoming. I booked a deluxe room but was upgraded to an executive room upon arrival due to renovation of some rooms. The room was... More

The only positive about this place is the airport pickup service. We only were staying there because we were travelling on the bus and ferry to Puerto Galera the next morning. The room was run down and the bathroom plumbing malfunctioning.

We usually book this hotel as they pick up at airport (haha) we ended up paying P800 for an airport taxi as we were tired after 16 hours travel, the food was expensive an horrible, I've been staying at Swagman every couple of years for the last 20 years and its really gone to the dogs
