I stayed over night at the Mabini Mansion. I booked a standard room. The front desk attendant had told me that since it's a standard room, not to expect the best. The lobby looked and clean, so I expected at least a decent room.

When the bellboy assisted me to my room, I was completely shocked with the appearance: a dark gloomy room in urgent need of new furniture and fixtures. The a/c was filthy and in need of cleaning. The bed sheet was old and worn out. The sofa chair had a hole. The television remote control was falling apart. The bathroom towels are old and over used. The kitchen cabinets had so much chipped paints and nicked tables. The horizontal blinds were missing blinds and broken. The room was just pathetically shabby.

Going back to what the front desk attendant mentioned earlier, even though it's a standard room, it's no excuse to neglect the cleanliness and maintenance of the room. By far this is the worse accommodation I've seen. The... more
