Arrived here after a long long journey, from the U.K. I was greeted by very friendly staff at reception, my bags were taken to my room, the room was of a reasonable standard, with Air - Con, already on, fresh towels in place, with tea / coffee facilities The Baloney was safe with a front superb view of Manila Bay.All... 2nd time that my wife and I have stayed here. It's inexpensive, mostly clean, staff ok. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. They still had my info at front desk from 7 years ago, I thought that was strange, but it helped check in.

It was not exactly our first choice but since we were on a tight budget we decided to stay at this hotel. Although we were not that disappointed, still we felt we could have stayed at a better place for the same amount. The place is already showing signs of old age. The bathroom, at least in our room, needs... More

After check in we went to our room and saw cockroaches in the hallway. Room was so so and not as nice as the pictures show on the web site. The linens were soiled and were small single beds. The TV cable line was broken and would have to fix to watch TV. The breakfast buffet is for local filipino's... More

The last time I was at this hotel was 1989. The place has no changed. Although a small hotel, not exactly in the rank of franchised hotels like the Hilton's or the Marriot's. the staff at friendly and helpful. The ocean view is breathtaking. You have to be at least on the fifth floor, below fifth will be a disappointment... More

Traveled extensively to the Philippines in the mid '90s. Always stayed at the Aloha Hotel when in Manila back then. Good location, right around the corner from the Aristocrat Restaurant and Malate Church, right on Roxas about 15 minutes from the airport. The hotel was smallish, competent, reasonable and clean. Went back to visit the Philippines with my daughters this... More

Nice staff. Large rooms with optional real view of bay. Carpeted but I personally prefer tile in tropical places. Fine location.

Staying in this hotel was a very big disappointment to me, considering I paid "extra" just to get the "sea view" option for my room hoping it would give me a relaxing sea view of manila bay.. unfortunately I cannot even open the curtain of my room because when I do that.. people on the parking lot of the hotel... I only stayed in Manila one day and decided on Aloha. It was my mistake to think that all of the rooms had a bay view. Since I have been traveling around SE Asia for a few months, usually the hotel price points are comparable with the quality of the room. While I did have a very large room with... More
