I called the hotel first hand to ask if there is an available room and to confirm the rate as well as our preferred room. This was because the regular published rates and rates from the booking sites are not the same. The person from the other line confirmed that 1) there was an available bay view room 2) I... More

Stayed at this hotel last week during Pope Francis' visit to Manila. Room rates are affordable, location is great with a lovely view of Manila Bay, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The hotel's staff are also very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and has a good wifi reception. My only concern is the bathroom- generally clean,... More

It's my first time to stay at this hotel, at first I was not impressed by the exterior architecture but when your inside. . . it's not so bad after all. We were greeted by a friendly staff and our bags carried to our rooms. The rooms was good, clean with AC and hot and cold shower and most of... More

2nd time that my wife and I have stayed here. It's inexpensive, mostly clean, staff ok. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. They still had my info at front desk from 7 years ago, I thought that was strange, but it helped check in.

It was not exactly our first choice but since we were on a tight budget we decided to stay at this hotel. Although we were not that disappointed, still we felt we could have stayed at a better place for the same amount. The place is already showing signs of old age. The bathroom, at least in our room, needs... More

After check in we went to our room and saw cockroaches in the hallway. Room was so so and not as nice as the pictures show on the web site. The linens were soiled and were small single beds. The TV cable line was broken and would have to fix to watch TV. The breakfast buffet is for local filipino's... More

The last time I was at this hotel was 1989. The place has no changed. Although a small hotel, not exactly in the rank of franchised hotels like the Hilton's or the Marriot's. the staff at friendly and helpful. The ocean view is breathtaking. You have to be at least on the fifth floor, below fifth will be a disappointment... More

Traveled extensively to the Philippines in the mid '90s. Always stayed at the Aloha Hotel when in Manila back then. Good location, right around the corner from the Aristocrat Restaurant and Malate Church, right on Roxas about 15 minutes from the airport. The hotel was smallish, competent, reasonable and clean. Went back to visit the Philippines with my daughters this... More
