The location is good. Very near a nearby mall Robinsons where we bought things we needed for our trip to the beach and the mountains. The room is quite clean and cozy except for the noise coming from outside bars. The food here is also good and if you want good coffee, there is a coffee house just beside it.... More

I would have rate 5/5, few years back. But years after years, general quality is getting down. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and the area is always nice; old area of Manila. Unfortunately, a huge building have been built just beside and the hotel looks small now. And some rooms have this building 10cm in front of the windows,... More

Very accessible location. Accommodating and hospitable staff. Prompt response to email inquiry. Homey feel. Adequate amenities come with the room rate. Stayed there in October 2011 with mother and aunt (family room). This time with husband (premium room). Will definitely still have it as preferred choice for place to stay when we go back to Manila.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here. We had the feeling, it was too expensive for what it offered, but it is the capital city and the location is fantastic. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, the personnel kind. In the room it was really hot and a bit humid. We had only a fan, and the window... More

Old and reliable, this place straddles the Backpacker category and the Hotel segment. Budget, fan only rooms (en suite) and a few dorm beds are available, as are AC rooms with en suite facilities. Good security....guard at gate has a gun! Safe deposit boxes and luggage storage available. Can even leave valuable in safe deposit box while you travel up... More

Hotel in good location in Malate - staff at desk very friendly but room very gloomy - small window with little light. I booked and paid for an Executive room - but not sure what was executive about it. No WiFi in rooms only in lobby is a real inconvenience.

The hotel was 1600 pisos for a small room with aircon. The aircon unit dripped on the mattress all night and the bed was very uncomfortable. When we told the concierge the next morning she replied with "thank you for letting us know". I would not recommend for the price, but the location was good.

Central location and polite staff but noisy, no hot water and no drinking water in room. Dodgy aircon and run down room. Overpriced and underwhelmed. Not recommended. Choose somewhere else nearby, there are lots of better places than this.

Budget friendly yet worth every bucks you paid. Staffs are accommodating. Hotel gives a nostalgic aura for me. Breakfast they provide is from the coffee house outside the hotel which is good. Overall, this is a good place to stay.

We stayed overnight. Hot / Cold Shower was good. Location is good (city center)Near restaurants and malls. Robinsons mall was just a few minutes walk away.. Staff are accomodating. The place was a bit old. We stayed in a room near the stairs we could hear people heading up.

Hello! Thank you for having made Malate Pensionne your home away from home. Our building is a "heritage" building built by US Standard Oil during the US Commonwealth era.
