We had a room on the 23rd floor with a great view. The hotel is showing its age but our room was a decent size, complete with little table/chairs, mini kitchen and decent size fridge. The bed was firm (better than beds in our China hotels!) and linen fresh & clean. Bathroom was basic and looking a little old, but... more

I stayed here only for a couple of nights, as my vacation was all but over. The place was not far from the ariport, but not close either. On that note, I gotta give you heads up about taxis in Manilla. They always seem to want to take advantage of foreigners. Do not select a taxi, if they do not... more

PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING HERE! There was nothing good about this hotel at all. The rooms are so old and moldy. The stench is pretty bad too. The staff at the front desk are idiots. Go next door and stay at the great eastern. That hotel is 20 times better and it is cheaper more

Ok first things first. Its in the middle of the red light district. The taxi drivers lock the doors when you are on your way there. There were a few crazy drugged up people wandering around out the front of the hotel screaming. That made us feel really safe! Also a man hangs out near the door trying to sell... more

I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone! The "Studio" was nothing more than a small, dirty, cramped, noisy room with NO hot water! And I felt like the hotel was in the "Red Light" district. There are many other places to stay in Metro Manila that are much better than this hotel. I can't believe a travel agency in... more

what we rented is a service apartment owned privately... saw her ad online and called booked for a month! the 3002 room's view is better than the one we had from our 2006 stay (room 510 - hotel owned...) the price is just right for what you paid for... its in the middle of red light district, and is near... more

I spend 300 nights a year on the road so not just some naive traveller. This place, I really can't abide, and I've stayed in hotels in rural Africa, the worst cities in China, all over the place. Citadel Inn is, without question, the worst place I have ever stayed. To start out with the lift is incredibly slow, small,... more

I stayed here with a friend for two nights. We were quite high up, I think on the 20 something floor. There were a few bugs crawling around but not much to worry about. They gave us an extra bed very quickly after we asked and we even got some drinks delivered from room service, also quick service. The room... more

My wife and I have been staying at the Citadel for over 4 years. Nearly all the staff have been fantastic and the few who are otherwise seem not to stay around for long. The rooms are a tad average and there are a few bugs (room service promptly arrives with Baygon on request) but no more than any other... more
