I booked three rooms for 2 nights via Asiatravel.com. For less than a hundred US dollars a night per room, it was a bargain. The lobby was fabulous. The rooms were OK and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast could have been better: there were not so much selection. The restaurant staff were all nice and accomodating. The free fruits and... more

.Was not aware until i arrived that pool was closed ,with a climate such as Manila's,the pool is a great way to unwind. The live music in the lobby was the highlight for me ,as the rooms were old and dull.Lots of staff just standing around daydreaming.Generally the Phillipino people seemed dispirited, probably because of the out of control corruption that is... more

The Manila hotel with a lot of history to show for it. With famous guests staying there from Michael Jackson to the Late Pope. Now the hotel itself is not that bad a bit old compared to other hotels but it has survived a World War and is still standing we were luck and we got accommodated on the 17th... more

This was my 6th time staying at the Manila Hotel in the past 4 years and once again this hotel never disappoints me! The odd review is negative on here and people must understand the difference between a "bad hotel" and a "bad experience". Anyone can have a bad experience at a great hotel at anytime. Things do ocassionally go... more

I've been traveling to the Philippines for about 15 years. This was my first stay in the Manila hotel. I never chose this hotel as it always got mixed reviews from frieneds and it is a little bit out of the way from most places I frequent in Manila. After reviewing tripadvisor, I decided to give it a go as... more

Old world charm in this colonial building. Incredible lobby, airy and classy. Generous rooms. Quiet location. Breakfast buffet with bread as fresh and aromatic as in good old Europe. May I add, european bread! cheeses, fruits, everything fresh and tasty. I hope it hasn't changed since my last visit. I have stayed 3 times, we also stayed in other Manila... more

I spent one night at the Manila Hotel, during a 24-hour layover in my travel itinerary. I chose this hotel for its location and historic appeal, and it did not disappoint. Sure, there are newer hotels in Manila, and I can understand why this property might not be the first choice of business travelers who desire all the modern technological... more

Ever wonder what motivates people to write scathing reviews on this website? Stay at the Manila Hotel and you will have your answer. It is atrocious. Anyone that writes a favourable review of this hotel is not a regular business traveller in Asia. If you are used to the standards of service, comfort and environment at any of the Marriotts,... more

my 2 previous stays last year are deemed excellent, had the best sleep in a long long time, the bed was simply marvelous. this time i found the bed hard though the 4 pillows did help a bit and the view of intramuros and the golf course is amazing but i can still hear the traffic noise whereas if you're... more
