I've visited their restaurant many times and found their food very good and well priced. Service is adequate though often spoiled by excessively loud music. Still it's a good clean haven in an area that is often dirty and not especially safe. Recommended if you want a selection of tasty Filipino and western food.

As I'm in and out of the Philippines all the time and when ever I need to stay overnight in Manila it's always at the "Duck". The cost of the rooms start from 1300PHP onwards and mostly I take the standard room as I have to leave early in the morning for my flight. The bar and restaurant on the ground... More

I love the Philippines, Manila not so much. Traffic, pollution, crime, Dan Brown was on the right track describing it as "The Gates to Hell" Okay, maybe that was a little harsh, and I am not a fan of big cities anywhere, you get the idea, I try and avoid Manila as much as possible. When I do have to... More

The Duck Inn is perfectly priced for those on a budget. The rooms are clean and linen is changed daily. Air conditioning works well. The staff are friendly and the service is great. The food is always nice and the portions are big. The rooms range from 1300 peso up to about 1800 peso. The quiet rooms are the ones... More

No frills and basic but you get what you pay for. Everybody seemed friendly. Nice bar downstairs with lovely friendly waitresses. Room was clean and what I liked was all the little things many hotels charge a fortune for ie toothbrush, were all priced very reasonably. Even the mini bar in my room was well priced. And the best bit......I... More

Located 20 minute drive from the airport (about 200 paso in a metred taxi). It is a nice respectable hotel and bar although it is surrounded by some less reputable establishments. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. The bar serves nice food including a very good breakfast. It also has a couple of pool tables and does... More

IMO the best budget hotel in Ermita/Malate. I advise booking at least a week in advance as rooms book fast. Rooms are small but clean and with modern aircon/TV, smoking and non smoking rooms. Hot water is good with good pressure. There is a very nice pool playing/eating/drinking bar at very reasonable prices. Hotel has friendly staff and a good... More

I have stayed here one two occasions, and I am just about to book my third stay. Sure, it is not Buckingham Palace, but it is clean and well managed and the food is good and servings are generous, and it is GOOD VALUE!!! You could not ask for more helpful staff. Last time they booked me a day trip... More

Stayed at the Duck a few times. Its not luxury but its budget priced. Some of the rooms are small and the stairs are hard to negotiate after to many beers. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the downstairs bar is a pleasant place for a few drinks at night. There is usually a singer and there is 2... More
