My partner and I arrived at the Chill-Out Guesthouse in Manila, late one evening. We had booked a cheaper private double room, with shared bathroom. The room was a small, dark, windowless box, with a bed, a chair, a bin and a small table. At first glance, the bed looked broken. I lifted the mattress up, to see that the... More

I stayed here for a week and a bit with my girlfriend. The rooms are nice and clean we stayed in quite a few different rooms there. The aircon rooms are very nice but some of the fan rooms have no windows and are extremely hot that however is reflected in the price. The location is good. Probably not the... More

We booked this hostel not expecting fireworks, but didn't even get sparklers. We were in room 1, which is right next to the desk and communal area/ kitchen. Our room was a windowless, tiny box with a floor fan and paper thin walls. It was unbearably hot and the cushions were just made from cut up foam pieces, stuffed into... More

Chill out guesthouse manila A/C rooms at 1500 pesos are fair enough. Be careful opening/closing windows - sharp edges. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They are truly awesome. Open kitchen - if you cook yourself. Free Nescafé. Free wifi "available" - but so slow it becomes unusable. Not a single web page was capable of opening. Shower pressure is amongst... More

Nice place right in the middle of Malate's bar area but without being noisy (from the bars that is, there was however some construction work happening in the morning). Easy walk to the bay, Robinson mall or even Intramuros (45 min). We had a double ensuite AC room upstairs for a decent price and had no complaints. Only thing that... More

Chillout are chilled out. We are leaving Manilla tonight, it's late and we are in need of a shower and rest before heading home at midnight. We have been given a couple of sofas, towels and use of the shower free of charge. Everyone here is happy and helpful. I love it. Next time I am in Manila I will... More

We booked through Agoda from France for our first night after landing in Manila. We were just passing through. Bathrooms were ok and clean, hot water. Bedding was OK but we were in a stuffy room with a window in front of a wall. No towels provided. Very friendly and helpful staff! Surroundings are not the best and common area... More

Staff seems uninspired and not paying attention to guests. Made me feel unwanted or in their way like I was harrasing them. I had to leave the reception without getting my questions answered. Wifi is free but so slow you want to go to a nearby internetcafe. My room was very basic without window or anything on the wall. Not... More

We have mixed feelings on Chill Out. We booked the most basic room as we were passing through Manila and just needed a bed. The room was very very clean and freshly painted and the 24 hour reception is great for transit travellers. So far, so good. However our windows didn't shut properly which meant some mozzies were inside and... More
