I stayed several days in Red Carabao, a place very well located in order to visite the main sightseeings in Manila: Chinese and North Cementery, Quezon, nightlife area and Old Town. The atmosphere is laid-back, relaxing and friendly. In this hostel, you can interact easily with everyone and have a very nice time. One of the assets of this hostel... More

We visited Manila only for a few hours in the afternoon, one nigth and the next morning. Aldrich, the guy who works at Red Carabao gave us good advise about what to see in Manila if you have only a few hours. Due to him we saw a part of the city, had nice diner at a rooftop and visited... More

I originally booked at Red Carabao for only two nights, but due do a series of opportunities/mishaps I end up spending nearly a week there (and loving it). The hostel is definitely geared more towards backpackers than flashpackers, but there is room for anyone who arrives with a genuine desire to connect with other travelers and learn about Manila. Don't... More

When a group of friends from Baguio City is travelling to manila to attend the wake of a relative. We were prompted with a dilemma on where to house them. A friend of a friend recommends to try Red Carabao. We were told that it is cheap and safe. Safety is our no. 1 priority, next to how much are... More

When one arrives at this hostel one feels immediately at home. The hostel has the true feel of a family. Breakfast is done communally, as well as dinners. I visited many places and the warmth of the ambience has no equals. Aldrich, the owner, is a caring, attentive, and intelligent guy. He will befriend you and make the best he... More

If you want to enjoy the soul of Manila you should come to the Red Carabao Community. The location is far from the buisness center, you are in the real Manila in a safe place :-) The host is amazing and you feel in family here. The place is very clean and the rooftop amazing !!!

Red Carabao is not just a hostel, but a community. This is something that you immediately feel upon entering it. Located in a family building just next to the southern entrance of Manila's famous Chinese Cemetery, Red Carabao is designed to encourage a proper experience of Manila. Whether it's the self-administered walking tours that you can do with the help... More

Red Carabao is more than just a place to lay your head. They are now my new found family, ones whom we loved before we even knew! Isn't that God's Love? The hospitality from the heart not only made an initial impact. It made a lifetime impact to me whom they now call Momma Bonnie! Thank you Helena for showing... More
