Nice if you like cockroaches (bonito si the gustan las cucarachas) We went to this "Pensionne" the 8th-may-2014. We ask for the cheaper double room with fan and bathroom 788Php, which is a good price in Manila. We saw the room 208. It was basic but enough for our needs at that point, we want to stay one night before... More

I stayed in the second cheapest room. which was the single with a.c. I paid 888php. I had no windows. so that means no ventilation. Therefor a stench. I only slept in my room. At night I left the door ajar for a bit of ventilation. And had the aircon running all the time I was there. ( only one... More

Located near Malate Robinson's and a few blocks from the Baywalk. Cheapest rooms are tiny but have everything you'd need. Little restaurant in lobby serves good meals. Matresses are covered in plastic, so ask for an extra towel to place under you. Great staff, guard is stationed at entrance.

I stayed in Stargate Pension in Manila, cheap and good location. Just few minutes walk to Robinson. If you don't mind about simple accommodation then should stay with them. I just don't like the smell of the room when I enter but staffs is always willing to help and make sure the room smell good again.

Good place to stay overnight in Manila. I usually just stay overnight, waiting for flight to CamSur. Not western standard, but when I'm in PI, I much prefer to stay in "local" style accommodation. Reasonably priced for Manila. Not the best area of town. Staff is friendly and helpful to foreigners/westerners. Security guard on duty. Computer with internet access.

Arriving in Manila at night & walking down the main Adriatico street in Malate looking for a room it was easy to be side-tracked by young Filipino women dressed in school girl costumes & scant dresses luring men into darkened clubs for whatever purposes, instead I walked into the Stargate Pennsione. Unfortunately there was no Startgate nor did I have... More

There are worse hotels in the area charging more. Before settling into the Stargate we saw one grubby, charmless cell with a much higher asking price. But that doesn't mean I would recommend this place- especially when there are much better options just a few minutes away in the Paco Park area. The only real reason to stay here is... More
