As a late 30s traveller who hasnt done the backpacking "thing" for a number of years, I was choosing carefully when I was booking accomodation in KL. I wanted somewhere clean, safe, cheap, with a good location that didn't feel too "backpackery" if that makes sense! Red Palm was excellent. They were very booked up so in order to stay... more

Nothing but positive things to say about this place! The staff are really great, even though I booked through hostelworld, they still emailed me personally to confirm, both after I made the initial booking and just before I arrived. They were super-friendly and helpful, and I felt welcomed and at home here. more

This is a cozy little hostel located in the Golden Triangle area of KL. I paid RM25 for a dorm bed which was in a room with 5 other beds. The bed and dorm was clean and comfortable. The hostel itself only holds 15 people with other rooms being singles, double & triples. The whole hostel was clean and tidy... more

Quiet, cosy small place to stay. Great staff, very friendly. Good location, nice street with several restaurants and cafés nearby for a late drink. With breakfast - reasonable price. A come back place. more

This is really great place to stay, I almost dont' want to review it to keep it a secret!! I stayed in the 6 bed dorm for 3 nights, it has a nice location with a few restaurants on the street but the road behind is full of great places to eat cheaply. You can walk to chinatown in approx... more

This is a home away from home. Sophie and Seti are the best. You are welcomed from the moment you step through the gate and you are treated like family, even after you leave. It is a small place so there are not many rooms, and Seti ensures that everything is kept clean all day. I was comfortable staying there.... more

All of our online bookings go through the hostelworld booking system. HW takes 10% deposit of every booking. We don't see any of this money and only receive the 90% remaining that are paid in cash upon arrival of the guest. Since we are very small place, we need to flip every coin twice and are not able pay back...
