We loved our stay at Number 8! When we arrived we got to choose from 2 rooms, one was near the self serve breakfast bar and the other was out the front, we chose the front one thinking it would be noisy near the breakfast bar (self serve of eggs and toast.) The room we picked was really quiet considering... More

The only one thing that is good, is Location, and still so expensive for a guest house. They serve a breakfast in the morning (toast, eggs, jam, and butter) with a drink that no one prefer. Rooms are small, a lot of them with bugs, so please check the room, and beds for bugs before you check in. Noise Noise... More

The number eight guesthouse looks nice enough with friendly staff, a comfy shared living space and breakfast included in the price of the rooms (jam and bread with egg). However the small room that my wife and I took for three nights was jam packed with bed bugs. We both had a really bad reaction to the bites and we're... More

Back in 2007 in a travel piece on Kuala Lumpur for I praised Number Eight as "stylish" and "chic". Now, six years later, i stayed there again - for ten minutes. Then I checked out. The place is as run down, filthy and not maintained just as most of the cheaper hotels and backpacker accommodations in Kuala Lumpur are. Wallpaper... More

Was happy until I realised that they have bed bugs. I ve got bite marks all over my body and saw couple crawling on my bed. When talking to the girl at reception desk, she lied by saying they have not had that issue before. I showed her another review on trip advisor that says they've got bed bugs, but... More

The place looks clean but when you move in you will truly see the actual condition of the place. We were given room 807 a double room with attached bathroom. The room was on the ground floor at the back. The room is moldy.. we arrived late and thought we could just rough it out but as we laid on... More

I stayed here last year before it changed hands and was renovated. It was definitely a tad shabby, but the price reflected accordingly. They've done virtually no other upgrades other than a new coat of paint and to cram a few more rooms in what used to be a downstairs seating area by the lobby. I made the mistake of... More
