The guesthouse is located in the right area, close to all the bars, restaurants and monorail. However the rooms are not good. They are fairly big but the beds look dirty and we ended up sleeping on our sleeping bags as we heard/read about bugs. The air-con did not work and when we told the man at reception he gave... More

rooms are airless and dirty and the shared bathroom was filthy. Noise from the next door bar went on till 4 am and the aircon didn't work so the room was unbearably hot. The continental breakfast is 2 pieces of toast with some hairy margerine! Didn't get any sleep here so it was a bit of a waste of money.... More

I stayed here for 5 times already. Every time traveling through KL I stay at this place. Probably is this because of the perfect location as it is just near to the Bukit Bintang road. And if you are at the end of your trip and want to do some last shopping this is the perfect location to be. There... More

I stayed at Pondok Lodge last week for 4 nights and had a great stay!Whilst it was noisy some nights due to the restaurant/bar under the hostel, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff helpful and the location simply excellent! I would reccomend this hostel to those on a budget who want a great location. It also has a... More

We stayed one night and changed room 3 times becouse of poor standard in the room. We we ended up in a room next to the reception and whoke up in the middle of the night covered in begbugs. We got a very bad treatment by the manager who tried to blaime us for bringing the bedbugs in to the... More

It can be noisy because it's in a bar area. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay. You can walk to MRT station and shops are nearby. Great location! A nice garden on the roof is a plus.

Wonderful budget place for backpackers to stay. Felt very much at home, staff excellent - friendly but very professional. Clean, great breakfast. Location is good and felt safe at night - peace of mind for female travellers especially. For very low cost, a great base to explore KL.

It really does depend entirely on what room you get if you stay here. The first time we were there we chose a twin room with no window but shared aircon for 55RM. The beds were a bit worn but were fairly comfortable. The room was actually fine for us except as mentioned, there is a bar below which pays... More

I booked this hostel based on the Lonely Planet write up. I reserved a single room on the hotels website. Unfortunately after reserving the room I read the reviews and did not imagine that the hotel could be as bad as the reviews. When I arrived I was shocked as the building was above a shop and I was expecting... More
