We just came back from our holidays in Malaysia and I want to thank all Trip Advisor users who posted their reviews about Malaysia, KL and Langkawi. My husband and I chose China Town Inn because we like to be in the middle of action, see other cultures and get to know another country from the inside. The room cost... more

The Chinatown Inn is a good low-cost option for a couple of days in KL. The hotel is located right in the centre of chinatown, all major sights of KL can be reached easily by public transport. The rooms are clean and have en-suite bathrooms. We paid around 25 USD per night. more

Great location. Not far from public transport. Service was good, but was given a double bed when double singles were booked. Would recommend. more

Great location, just 5-10 mins walk to the Puduraya Bus Terminal. I stayed here for 3 nights and got a room with no windows, with 4 walls and a door, it feels like an isolation cell. The air-con is also not cold enough and there is no restaurant, so no room service or breakfast. I probably won't stay here again... more

We arrived via taxi at around 9pm, and followed the directions on the hotel website. So the taxi dropped us off outside another hotel (like the website specified), but even though we were so close to it, it was impossible to find as at night the street it is on turns into a night market. We had to actually look... more

Although quite impersonal, this hotel was absolutely adequate for our three night stay in KL. We arrived very early in the morning off the sleeper train from Singapore, but the receptionist checked us in then without any trouble. The hotel reception area and corridors are quite tired looking, but the room itself was very clean with private bathroom. Note -... more

Make booking over internet [-] and confirm with credit card. Reach there in 7am, they give a new rate because of New year. But I insist do not want to pay more. So the receptionist (only 1 person) reluctant give me a room in ground floor. I am asking for higher floor, but she say no :( Room is not... more

Clean room with private bathroom in the middle of bustling Chinatown's Night Market for $30/nt? PERFECT!! I was looking for a clean room and my own bathroom and Hotel China Town Inn delivered. The room is very basic but you can't expect 4 star quality at this price. I felt perfectly safe here and didn't have any problem with noise... more

The number one pertinent fact is that the street on which the hotel is located is the one closed as a street market every day. Hence, it is inaccessible by anything other than foot. My taxi driver, with limited English, kept trying to tell me this and I assumed that he was simply dumping me on the sidewalk. The hotel... more

We stayed in the Hotel Chinatown Inn based on Lonely Planet recommendations and I have to say we were pleased with our stay. Firstly the hotel is very close to the Pesar Seni LRT station and is located on Petaling St, which is the main market street in Chinatown. However all the stall on the strett made it hard to... more
