We stayed for four nights and overall were happy with the Federal. We were a walk-in booking having moved from another hotel, which we weren't happy with. We asked to see a couple of rooms before deciding and reception staff were very accomodating. We chose a room in the new Merdeka Wing. The room itself was clean, spacious, very well... More

I decided to give Federal a try since it is located next to where I used to stay whenever I visited KL. However, I was given a room that has absolutely no view, but the wall of Royale Bintang. The engine noise created, probably behind the wall, was crazy. I could not sleep and it was enough to cause a... More

The last time that I came here, it was about a decade ago. Not much things have changed, except for the construction works that were taking place along Jalan Bukit Bintang. The Wi-Fi at the hotel is admittedly terrible for a hotel of that calibre. I would suggest that you dine at the nearby restaurants for their free Wi-Fi (in... More

We recently stayed here from 14-18 October 2014. Ours was a family trip with two grown up children. Location fantastic. Just come out of hotel and you have different malls, shops, cafes and restaurants around. Happening place with activities all around. We heard bad about hotel but it is not. Yes it is an old hotel and needs work on... More

Stayed here twice. Loved the first stay back in 2003 (yeah 2003!) that I came back last year. Located in the heart of shopping district Bukit Bintang. Service was great. the breakfast so good. Need more modern furnitures to keep up.

I recently attended a conference held in the hotel so we were there for 5 days. The hotel is starting to show it's age a little but it is quite nice. The whole check in and out process would have been easier and quicker if the staff spoke better english but that aside I was very happy with my stay... More

I stayed for only one night in this hotel for a business trip in Kuala Lumpur. Thought it was a contemporary hotel from the front side but the room was very..very old. The food is good though. The bright side of this hotel is that it is located in the center of KL, near many shopping malls; good for shoppers... More

Its a very old hotel...known by almost all including the taxi drivers. Its strategically located in bukit bintang and a paradise for those who wanna delve into hustle n bustle of KL nightlife...everything is walking distance. Time Square is just behind. Pavillion, Lot 10, Jalan Alor - the food street everything is very near. Shopping, movie, nightlife and hotels everything... More
