We had two stays in this hotel. The first occasion was for 3 nights, the second occasion for one night. On our first visit the room was just average. The cleanliness was acceptable, but everything is so old and worn out! On our return visit things were much worse. The toilet wouldn't stop flushing and it took 2 hours and... more

The Federal Hotel is conveniently located in the Bukit Bintang shopping district. Check in was slow but our 3 night rate of RM 240 included buffet breakfast and was good value. Our room was reasonable size but cleanliness was only just adequate (carpet needed to be vacuumed more thoroughly) and the king size bed sagged badly in the middle. The... more

If you like to spend 45 minutes to check in with one reception clerk & 50 patrons & a lobby the looked like it was the baggage room at an airport then this is for you. Location is centre of town but amenities, reception, lounges, & foyer were a disaster. The room was clean tho quite small but served the... more

Day 1 - I booked 2 rms (RM 300 per night per rm) about 1.5mths ago. Checked in at 4pm but was told the requested adjoined rooms were not available. Meanwhile I was given a temporary rm to leave our luggages. Hotel informed me bf 6pm that my rms were ready. Collected the keys ard 6.45pm and to our horror,... more

The first time we stayed at this hotel was in 2005, recomended by our travel agent , the room we were given was classed as a superior room, which was so small, you could'nt swing a cat in! The window faced an air duct, quadrangle type of enclosure, not knowing if it was sunny, overcast, rainy as you could'nt tell.... more

We stayed at the Federal Hotel this month. After reading previous reviews, we were reluctant and scared to stay there, but were stunned from the moment we walked into reception. When you arrive at the hotel, you are greeted by Kind staff who take your luggage up to your room. You then are shocked as you see the fantastic reception.... more

This property was not my initial preference as I usually stay at Parkroyal with a preference for its Orchid Club Rooms(hotel fully-booked during my intended stay), but selected Federal as it is in a similar location and when operating Travel Agency in Australia, I had placed many clients here (always in Deluxe Rooms as Superior are in separate wing, much... more
