Having stayed here before, we were looking forward to staying here again. This stay was at complete odds with our previous experience. Upon check in, which was blunt and short (they didn't even request a credit card pre authority which would become a major hassle later) we went to our room on the 14 th floor. We knew the hotel... Stayed for a night at this hotel as I always wanted to stay here. Check in was prompt but the facilities needs to upgrade as it was showing its age. Location wise was excellent as it is situated in Bukit Bintang and very close by to Jalan Alor Food street. Do give the revolving restaurant a try as it commands... More

We stayed 6 nights at the Federal Hotel after having a number of past pleasant experiences. Rooms were clean and tidy and with plenty of space. The hotel is in a wonderful location for all the major shopping centres and malls and with easy access to taxis, free go-KL bus and monorail, day and night. Breakfast was an impressive array... We had stayed at the Federal back in 2006 and didn't enjoy it at all. But after the wedding in Langkawi in 2012 we decided to try the Federal again and, what a difference. Our rooms were certainly very clean and well presented. We also found the location excellent, close by to so many great outdoor eateries, especially at night.... More

We stayed for four nights and overall were happy with the Federal. We were a walk-in booking having moved from another hotel, which we weren't happy with. We asked to see a couple of rooms before deciding and reception staff were very accomodating. We chose a room in the new Merdeka Wing. The room itself was clean, spacious, very well... More

I decided to give Federal a try since it is located next to where I used to stay whenever I visited KL. However, I was given a room that has absolutely no view, but the wall of Royale Bintang. The engine noise created, probably behind the wall, was crazy. I could not sleep and it was enough to cause a... More

The last time that I came here, it was about a decade ago. Not much things have changed, except for the construction works that were taking place along Jalan Bukit Bintang. The Wi-Fi at the hotel is admittedly terrible for a hotel of that calibre. I would suggest that you dine at the nearby restaurants for their free Wi-Fi (in... More

We recently stayed here from 14-18 October 2014. Ours was a family trip with two grown up children. Location fantastic. Just come out of hotel and you have different malls, shops, cafes and restaurants around. Happening place with activities all around. We heard bad about hotel but it is not. Yes it is an old hotel and needs work on... More
