The hotel is very well located. You can walk from KLCC station or Twin Towers to reach it. It is glamorous and hudge (I saw the ball room size...) although a bit worn out for those who prefer more modern style. Comfort wise it is splendid. Bed was great and size of the room was right. Very quiet and clean.... More

I had a perfect two night stay at the Shangri-La hotel in KL. After 4 weeks of backpacking I was in need of some luxury and my word did I find it! The first thing to note about this hotel is as you walk in to the lobby is the beautiful scent of fresh flowers (I wish I could get... More

We stay here quite a bit and it is usually a good stay. The staff are quite friendly and the rooms are convenient and comfortable. It is a short walk from KLCC. The breakfast buffet is very good and there is a very pretty outside dining area that is paved and surrounded by beautiful garden. I prefer not to dine... More

We stayed at the Shangri la for four nights during August 2014. We were recommended this hotel by a friend and his words were "You have to stay There" . Needless to say we were not disappointed. I do not have a bad word to say. The service we received was first class. You have to try the Mooncakes. Would... More

We planned a 1 month trip to Malaysia starting with Kuala Lumpur. (myself, my husband and our 9 year old son) After considering many hotels we had a family member with a contact at Shangri La and decided to spoil ourselves and book a 7 night stay. We arrived on the 28th Dec 2013 till 3rd Jan 2014. It was... More

Being the top rated hotel in Malaysia I was expecting a lot. However, nothing about it made me think it deserved to be number 1. - Location-wise, it's fine, not in the centre (I consider Bukit Bintang as the centre) but walkable distance to KLCC and close to KL Tower. - Service - nothing special and a disappointing first impression... This was the second stop for my husband and I on our honeymoon. We arrived at 11pm and were greeted by such friendly and welcoming staff. I was given a rose and the hotel had upgraded our room to a complimentary suite on the top floor. The room was just out of this world, so spacious and cleaned everyday properly.... More

I didn't plan on staying at the Shangri-La - I ended up checking in at 4am as I miscalculated the travel time of the bus from Singapore. I wanted to be safe, and I knew that the Shang would take me in at such an awkward time. Safe to say even though my stay was 6 hours long, the staff... More

Would have been a very good stay if not for the poor service at the Lemon Garden during breakfast. Majority of staff are aloof, and do not not respond to requests in a hospitable manner, which suggest a lack of supervision and training. Minor issues include cigarette smoke from other rooms leaking from vents, and a disappointing spa experience. Overall... More
