I _First I made a reservation to a one bedroom with 1 king-size bedroom. upon Check-In the receptionist told me that the hotel doesn't have a room and they will give me a twin bedroom and will merge the two beds!! I did not agree because they had to tell that before the check In! Therefore, we went over our... More

We stayed in the Istana for 3 nights on route to Bali. I had read previous reviews and wasn't expecting much but have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and everybody was very professional. We stayed in a club room which was fantastic as the club lounge was intimate and very welcoming.... More

We stayed in this hotel for a 6 nights in August 2014. We arrived early on a flight from Australia only to realise that rooms would not be available until after 12 noon. This did not put us of the hotel as we where given a complimentary breakfast while we waited. The service standard at the hotel reception was fantastic... More

Before you book there, understand it's not a 5 star hotel as you would expect it, I didn't even have toothbrushes in my room and the shampoo was empty already (the small individual bottle). One good thing the bed was really comfortable.

My adult daughter and I have just returned from Malaysia, we started our holiday at the Istana for three nights and could not have been more delighted with our Club Room. We were given a beautiful large suite type room, on floor 21 (2129) with views across the city including the stunning Petronius Twin Towers, We had booked B&B in... More

We stayed here in a Club Room for three nights as part of a longer multi-centre trip. The location of the Istana couldn't be better, right next to the central shopping district, a 10 minute walk to the Petronas Towers and right by the metro. The hotel looks stunning and very prestigious from the outside and the lobby and bar/lounge... More

We stayed at the Istaba for 3 nights on the way home from out honeymoon. Upon arrival we were informed by the receptionist that the only rooms available with a double bed were on the smoking floor. We reluctantly accepted the room even though we are both non smokers. When we got to the room the stench was so bad... More
