My husband and I spent 4 very happy days in the Orange Pekoe Guesthouse this July. We were on the last leg of our honeymoon, and after an exhausting two weeks in Borneo, this was a dreamy ending to our trip. Firstly the location is second to none, a kilometre and a half from the Petronas Towers, and a little... More

We (two friends and me) needed a hotel to spend two nights in KL, and Orange Pekoe Guesthouse was a complete satisfaction. First, the room price was incredibly cheap. For so little money in my native Russian town you can only sleep under a bench in the hotel lobby. However in OPG we had a comfortable three-bed room, tidy and... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They provided maps and recommended nice places to eat and things to do/see. The accommodation was basic, but very comfortable and clean. Great value for money. The location is excellent, it's close to the malls/transport but not loud at night. Would stay here again and highly recommend... More

very nice People, and Location, breakfast is ok, we could live with the Toilett-shower, but behind the bathdoor was a lot of mold at the wall . The Price of staying so Close to town is the noise. We had a butcher at the street facing our room and he worked a lot with his battle axe, we could listen... More

Dear nautilla, thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. The end of the European summer travel season is the time of the year that allows us to carry out maintenance work in rooms and common areas. While we have done paint jobs etc in many rooms already, the unexpected high occupancy during the last two weeks... More

Stayed two nights in this guesthouse the first night in Standard Double room booked through agoda and the other night in Superior Double room. Well worded directions and diagram surely helped us finding the place easily. The guesthouse is conveniently located in a cozy and quiet lane still a 5 minute stroll to Food Street or BB. The only downside... More

We booked a private room with a private bathroom (which was down the hall from our room). While it was clean, the bed wasn't too comfortable. We arrived at the hotel late at night and it was in a desolate area of Kuala Lampur which made us a little nervous at first. However, you are close to the street area... More

Dear VictoriaNYC06, thank you for your review. Our guesthouse is in the so-called Golden Triangle, an old part of KL. For the better or the worse, more and more of the old structures in this part of town are replaced by expensive high-end developments. We praise ourselves lucky that our guesthouse is located on a side road that has not... More

Stayed here 2 years ago (when it was the nest) as a group and again last night in transit. The location is great although the rooms are on the small side. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there can be a bit of street noise during the night but otherwise it is excellent value for money.

Dear Thetravelbugs5, thank you for your review and for staying with us again. When guests decide to return, it is the biggest compliment we can get. The size of our rooms varies considerably between different categories. And yes, our Budget Rooms are small which is why we do not recommend them for guests who travel with full-size luggage. So maybe... More

We stayed in a double room with bathroom down the corridor, both of which were basic but clean and just right for us. The kitchen area was a really nice space and there was plenty on offer at breakfast with tea and coffee available all day. Close to all that you might want to see in KL in a few... More
