There was something about Explorers that I really liked. My top choice in KL. Friendly, very clean, relaxed atmosphere. Stayed in a female dorm for 3 nights and would have stayed again on my return but they were already full! Good showers, very secure (the reception desk buzz you in), nice common area to relax in. Very close to public... More

I stayed for more than 2 weeks in September 2014 in this guesthouse along with other places but I reckon this is the BEST place to stay in KL. My stay in twin room was comfortable thanks to the courteous staff and the atmosphere was perfect to meet people in spacious common room. Pros: - Quiet at night - Friendly... More

Visited KL from 2-5 October, 2014. Had a good experience at the Guesthouse. Was staying in the Twin-sharing room (No Windows). You have access to the roof which offers a pleasant view. The rooms are clean. The bathrooms and loos are also well maintained (shared). The lady at the front desk, Ivy, is a gem of a person. Very helpful... More

I stayed ten nights at the Explorers Guesthouse because of a medical issue. The place started to feel like home! The staff took good care of me, everything is very clean and the location is great. Wifi only in the lobby and no windows in the dorms, but means you meet many people and can sleep in...

We spent two nights at the explorers guesthouse but have also booked another night for when we return to KL next week. The location is right by China Town and easy to explore there rest of KL. The double room was clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom was also really clean and had good showers. The hostel had a modern... More

We stayed in the 6 person mixed dorm and the beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. Beds weren't squeaky either. The bathrooms are nice, very clean too! The staff is pleasant, and the common area is a great place to chill. They also provide free access to two computers which is super convenient for booking the next leg... More

Great hostel. A good amount of space, but it did fill up. I got the last bed. So might want to book ahead. Fine beds, air con, good bathrooms. Peanut butter with the toast in the morning! Had a pb&j every breakfast. Really like the 24hour instant coffee and tea. Nice area on the ground floor to chill. Staff couldn't... More

Pros: - The lady staff was very helpful. She gave me the map with recommended places to see. - I checked-in to 6 beds mix dorm. The room and bed were clean. There were 2 electrical outlets near each bed to charge your gadget. Bathroom also clean. - Basic breakfast provided (toast with tea or coffee) - Quiet at night.... More

I stayed for several days and slept in a number of their dorms - all were okay. The fact that there are no windows means that things are a bit smelly but not overwhelmingly so. Facilities were clean, breakfast was nice, and people did talk to each other.

The Explorers Guesthouse made me surprise that after walking on hot n noisy city street, there is quite and cool place. We booked DOM room with 4 beds, no windows :( . The bathroom and toilet is shared with man and woman, that made me feel uncomfortable.
