I stayed one night in The Exporers Guesthouse, as BackHome (my usual guesthouse in KL) was fully booked. I was pleasantly surprised by Explorers. Superb location, really clean and nicely decorated. However, some members of the staff were extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. Please note that wifi only works on the ground floor; so basically everyone in the common area is... More

I landed in KL and took a taxi to this hostel, unfortunately it's a little tricky to find. That said the location is very good- minutes from the central market, China town and main bus station. This hostel is great, very clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and give lots of advice. I stayed in the dorm- 4... More

I cant recommend this place enough, all the people I chatted to here say its one of the best hostels they have stayed in :) My friend and I have just started our travels around SE Asia. Fresh off the plane and we were a bit nervous of our first hostel stay here....we had no need. We got a taxi... More

This hostel is a good choice for you who looking for a quite and clean place to stay. The staffs also really friendly and helpful for me. I booked a private room to stay with my friend and it was a nice room and comfy enough. The breakfast is standard but it is okay because tea and coffee is available... More

This is a nice place to stay. It's in a good location, near Chinatown. The hostel is very clean with free wifi in the lobby and free coffee and tea. Bathroom and rooms are very clean. It is a little difficult to find initially.

I don't have anything negative to say about this place. The staff, first of all, are very friendly and accommodating. My friends and I arrived late at night from the airport, and didn't know we had to pay for our whole stay already. We didn't have enough ringgit on us. The staff then asked us to pay for just the... I left my disposable camera at one of the beds. I realized a few days later. Then i messaged the staff and they went to go look for it and found it! They were really helpful and gave it to my friend. Most places wouldn't even care if you left your expensive camera. The staff here are sweet and down... More

The hostel has a great location, right in the heart of Chinatown and very close to main public transport links, however the rest, incl. the room and amenities is a bit of a letdown. The double room we stayed in had no windows, which made it feel a like a prison cell. Luckily we were out and about most of... More

I must admit that at first I was pretty peeved off with my girlfriend for booking a hostel - whilst they were great in my 20s, I stopped staying in them since I started earning money (and wanted a little extra from my hosts!). However, in the end, it wasn't so bad. Here are the good points - it's clean,... More

The hostel is ok, there is a lot of stairs but the common area is good. It's the only place you can get wifi. Toilets and showers are fine and had hot water. The room wasn't great, it was really dark as there was no windows. We were on the 3rd floor which had a terrace so was nice to... More
