I stayed at the 5 Elements for one night and I would definitely recommend it to travellers who are looking for an affordable but comfortable option in the China Town area of KL. The 5 elements offers spacious en-suite rooms with comfy beds and pretty nice views overlooking KL (I was staying on the 11th floor). The staff is helpful... More

Returned to KL and stayed at The 5th Elements Hotel in Chinatown. Consistent, helpful staff at check in and housekeeping. Breakfast has really improved, Upgraded the breakfast area, new menu and looks and works really well. Location is the best in Chinatown. Rooms very quiet and clean. Our room was recently renovated, the bathroom is excellent. The views across KL skyline are superb. The reservation and check in was seamless and speedy. Housekeeping is fast and thorough. The breakfast restaurant has had a facelift with more choices and the selection varies daily. Hotel staff are extremely courteous and are happy to go out of their way to... More

Whenever I check into a hotel, I will check out the fire exits. Our room on the 10th floor was directly across from the fire exit door. For the 3 nights our family stayed there in 2 rooms, this door was blocked by 2 large laundry bins filled with towels and bedsheets. To check the fire exit door, we actually... More

For a place in China Town the location is perfect. The room was very comfortable, the bed was very short for a deluxe Queen as at only 5ft 10 my feet were hanging out the end! But it was a really comfortable mattress. The room was clean and well appointed, although it all looked a little tired and in need... More

Room okey but a bit tatty and smelly. Bathroom was ok. Overall neeeded some TLC.Not much choices for the breakfast and not even provide fresh milk for tea and coffee. Waiting stuffs were okey but we didn't get much respond from them. The Location is great but no much of view from the room.

I was going to give this hotel a bad review because of the woman at the reception but it deserves more than that. We arrived at 6AM at the hotel, tired from a long flight and had the 'pleasure' of dealing with the most unhelpful receptionist I've ever encountered. She clearly has an attitude problem so if you happen to... More

Not the first guest to observe this! A relatively new / refurbished property right in the midst of whatever appeals to you (or doesn't) about KL Chinatown.....street food & drink, trinkets of every sort, clothing, and probably a pickpocket or two in the crowd. All of the street activity produces a bit of noise, but promptly at 23:00 the stalls... More
