If $20 is what you can afford, then yes, D'Oriental is the best of the low-budget options. I was not happy at D'Oriental, so spent two hours walking around the neighborhood searching for a better $20 place, and didn't find one. If you can afford $40, then I suggest staying elsewhere (5 Elements looked much better to me than D'Oriental... More

We just stayed for 1 night, and the place is good enough if you are travelling through. Rooms are tidy and it's a cheap stay for a night. It's right in the middle of China Town, so a lot of good eating places around and nice shops.

I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, and yes, the room smells bad. But after some minutes my nose can adapt and it doesn't matter anymore. You could still hear people talking outside the room, but the market outside the hotel did not bother my sleep at all. I can have a nice sleep. The breakfast is good, the... More

The only thing good about this hotels is the location...right in the middle of Pataling street..but then we have many more hotels in the street...and for 100MYR per night the price is on the higher side...the room was too cramped and hardly any space left after the beds...the recption was helpful in letting me check-in early and the breakfast was... Stay 2 night. Everything is moderate as a budget hotel. But the noise is big let down, from noisy air conditioning unit, can hear next guest speak mandarin laudly next room @ 2 am in the morning in one night and screaming kid at midnight and early morning on the other night, and constant door banging either the staff or... The location is the plus point. Close to transportation and there are just so many things around. You won't have the chance to starve or get bored. Given the price I paid the hotel is reasonably decent. The staffs were friendly and helpful too. I have no complaints with my room as I thought it was pretty clean and comfy... More

I stayed the first half of the night in D'oriental inn, at night I had to leave, because I had some crawling bed company. The toilet only flushed hardly, and the room was stinky. Definateley not a place to have a comfortable night and specialy not for this price.

I stayed 4 nights in this hotel in room 602. The room is spacious, the bathroom is great, everything is clean. Breakfast selection is quite big. They have separate wifi for each floor, so it is very fast. Location is great, close to the main sights, several train lines, as well as Pudu bus station. If you mind noise, you... More

Loved this hotel! Fantastic location right in the thick of the Chinatown Petaling Street markets. Room was spacious and very clean. Air con and wifi worked well. Breakfast was good. The staff were extremely welcoming and very friendly. They even let us check out late free of charge so that we could fit in a trip to Batu Caves and... More

Nice Inn. Friendly and helpful. We arrived very early in the morning and they facilitated us in checking in early. This was so nice and we really appreciated it. The rooms are basic and have private bathrooms which is always a plus. Buuuuut, as much as I hate to say it, the rooms do smell a little. We stayed here... More
