We spent a couple of nights here. It is in a great location, over the road from the train station (which you can catch to Batu Caves etc.), 2 minute walk to Central Market with food stalls, 2 minute walk to China town and 10 minute walk to the big bus terminal for when you are leaving KL. Clean, had... More

A friendly, homely B&B, well located near the bus and LRT stations and a 10 min walk from Little India. Nice and clean with a csy lounge area and kitchen and a pleasant outside terrace. Tea, coffee and free drinking water all day and unlimitted toast, jam and peanut butter until 12pm and a computer for guest use.

The Matahari Lodge doesnt look very nice from outside, but when you enter, the impression changes. Nice, clean rooms with aircondition for a very cheap price although its in KL. The common showers and toilets arent the best but they're okay. Breakfast is nice and included and the friendly stuff helps you to plan your journey wherever you want to... More

Malaysia, the 11th Asian country I traveled. After moving from a bad hostel to this Hostel, it felt like heaven. The concept with the air conditioning at the corridor and a fan connecting the corridor and the bedroom is really genius. I slept next to the fan but I felt comfortable cool in the whole room and there was silent... More

the good: compared to the place next door (which is carpeted in carpet, in the tropics!?) this place is clean and simple. the location is right next to the LRT station, one stop from KL Sentral. the bad: the rooms are cell-like but that's because it's so cheap. there's a room with a window that is nice but the traffic... I've been staying here a couple of times now and I think it is the best value you can get for the money in KL. Everything is easy and convenient, the rooms are tidy and safe and the location is just perfect with Chinatown right next door and the connecting train- and bus-stations in front of the house. Also a... More

The place is clean, confortable, with good atmosphere, nice staff, well located, simple but good breakfast (free) and has a excelent internet on the reception. Besides that, the wifi doesn't work on the bedroom.

Matahari Lodge is strategically located at the city centre, Petaling Street. It is easy for travellers who go on foot to visit the landmarks in the city and to try a variety of foods around that area. The LRT station (Pasar Seni) and the bus hub are just a stone's throw away from the guesthouse. This is my second visit... More

This was my second stay at Matahari Lodge, and I am glad I returned. I was recognised and remember by staff as well as long-term lodgers... if felt god to be there. The rooms are CLEAN, the size is OK, there are no windows, so it supports a good sleep. The Breakfast is traditional Malay for guesthouses: bread (toast), Planta... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights, the room was a good size although the walls were thin. There was either a patron or staff member who would watch their laptop quite loudly most of the time which was a slight pain. Shared computers in the reception were a bit of a commodity with people staying on them for hours.... More
