Nagasaki Kagamiya is overall very good. It is very close to a tram station that has trams going direct to Nagasaki Station and other key attractions. However, it was a little difficult to find at first. However, once I found it, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and also spoke good English. Our private type A room, on the... More

It was my first trip to Nagasaki and the Kagamiya was an excellent base to start an exploration. The location is conveniently at the end of an ultra-cheap tram ride (a great way to explore) and is quiet yet easy to arrive at. The room was clean and cool (especially vital in this boiling summer) and there was a warm... More

Kagamiya was my 'home' for 3 weeks and if I could give more then 5 stars, I would. You are very lucky if you can get to know these wonderful people! They will make you smile and let you know all the ins and outs in Nagasaki. From the hostel you can easily take a streetcar (120¥ fixed price) or... More

Four of us stayed in one of the Annex buildings. The rooms were clean and spacious by Japanese standards. (I have stayed in a lot of Japanese accomodation.) The location is easy to access on the tram network and in a pretty, quiet backstreet next to a small shrine. The owners lovely and very helpful. I gave it five stars,... More

The place is well accessed through the tram lines or as they call then in Japan 'street cars'. The attractions, such as the ropeway to the million dollar view, a-bomb museum, gardens etc are easily accessed through the same streetcars. The directions on their website are perfect to arrive to the place. The owners are great people, very friendly and... More

Went to Nagasaki by rental car. Stayed in a HANARE room with a group of friends. The place was very big and clean. We really had a great stay. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely recommend friends there.

This is the best hostel I've stayed at in Japan so far! The staff were so lovely, and let us check in 3 hours early after catching a night bus from Hiroshima so we were able to catch up on some sleep. The hostel was a beautiful, traditional Japanese house style and the facilties were great. Very clean too. On... More

A friendly couple run this little accommodation business in a Nagasaki suburb. All the facilities are clean and neat, and it’s a pleasant place to stay. The house has a comfortable communal room but there isn’t a kitchen; just a sink and hot water but no microwave or other cooking facilities, nor any plates or cutlery. But it does have... More

My friend and i took the japanese floor room for couple of days. We enjoyed so much with kind hosts who make their place clean and organized. It was comfortable as an old shoes. There was shampoo, after shampoo, hair-dryer. I strongly recomended this guest house for many many reasons. Try antique Kimono(if you're lucky, or the owner is not... More

I actually submitted to add this place to TripAdvisor when I was staying there in June as the very friendly couple that run this place did not know about it. I was looking for somewhere better than hostel Akari, and I found this place on Hostelworld so I used my daily tram pass to check it out. It is about... More
